Adam is kicking back in a lawn chair with an old timey fishing pole resting besides his feet and the line in the water of one of the numerous lakes out in the Wilds of the Nexus. His tactical gear and coat have been chucked off to the side, and he is sitting there letting the cool summer's night breeze blow against his bare skin. With the lenses of his shades pushed back into his skull, Adam looks like he is at ease with himself this evening.

Or is he? He hasn't been in the Nexus since the battle with Khan, and the fate of Steve has hit the Aug hard. But Adam is a master at bottling his emotions up.

"I'm almost forgetting that I need to ask a question. Alright, what's your favorite thing to do when you have a little downtime?"

Adam asks, as he looks at the fishing pole that Rosco gave him for Christmas. It isn't something he's partaken since relocating to Prague, but it feels nice to do something that reminds him of simpler times.

Sarah's head perks up at the whistle, and she bounds over to Adam happily. Hello, new friend! Is it time for more pettings? Adia laughs softly at her enthusiasm. "It's not my style, either." Honestly, there's a lot about pokémon culture that she finds off-putting, especially how they're encouraged to battle one another. She'd rather interact with them as exceptionally intelligent animals and leave it at that.

"I figured he did." She smiles at the mention of her friend's name. "How's he doing, anyway? Did he get his bookstore going? I haven't seen him since... well, since I was last in the Nexus upset over something." She still remembers how good that slice of pizza was at absorbing all that boxed wine. "Oh, and if he mentioned to you something about coming to my world to rescue someone, that's... it's fine now. Tell him that he doesn't have to worry."

Adam gets a tail wag and happy whuff for his troubles. As dog-like as she is, it's easy to see why she'd appeal so much to him.

"I hope he's able to find some. The Nexus could use a good bookstore." She looks relieved that Vaclav wasn't able to worry Adam over her problems at the time. "Okay, good... how is that working out, dividing your time between here and home? Is your portal still secure?"

"That's good... isn't it?" She would have thought peace and quiet in both places would be a comfort for Adam, but he doesn't sound too thrilled about it. "We're closer to finding Earth than we've ever been, but I wouldn't exactly call things back home 'quiet'. I try not to take the time I have here for granted."

Ah, well that explains it. "How frustrating," she says sympathetically. "But that must mean you're making a difference. An organization like that can only work when it's able to keep things secret."

She hates to see him look so frustrated. Adam made a heck of a difference during the Khan invasion, he must be doing some good on his Earth, too.

At his offer of assistance, she smiles and shakes her head. "It's all right. We're on the right path, it's only a matter of time now." Sarah settles against Adam's feet and pants happily. "Although if you ever feel like playing fetch with Sarah, she can always use the exercise."
