Fighting something gone wrong

A red cloaked man walked with most of his face burned from something that went back back home. Even though it was now part of who he was, he covered his face with a mask that showed off his fiery green eyes. His fingers were tapping on a table, holding a pamphlet of the Nexus.

"So Nexus, what are your personal demons? Would you ever make a deal to save yourself or others?"

"My personal demon list is too long for pleasant conversation." He is joined at the table by a pretty, young blonde. She has her hair pulled into ponytails today, the ends colored blue of the left and red on the right.

"Save myself. Every time."

Spawn looks up and hisses for a short time. "I could say I have a huge list myself, i don't wish to list."

"Let's say, i did something i regretted over time."

"Regret is a hard feeling to get over. What happened to make you regret?" She tilts her head slightly.

[spawnhero]

He pulled off his mask. I'm not alive anymore, I'm... dead actually." I'm actually a Hellspawn.

"I made a deal to get my wife back in Hell"

[sweetcandygirl]

"And did it work?"

[spawnhero]

Only halfway, turned out against me. My wife wanda married another man and had a kid, I also donned the "Spawn suit"

"So, you would rather she was dead, then married to another man?"

[spawnhero]

... "Of course not. I died before i could say goodbye to her."

[sweetcandygirl]

"So what is your biggest concern?"

[not_the_question]

"The first question is not something I answer upon first meeting someone."

Which is true. It's too personal, to intimate and too revealing.

"Your second,though. I've made many deals to save others. Sometimes I get to save myself in the process. Other times, it takes others to save me."

He's thinking most recently of Bill and the number of times she's saved him against his better judgement.

"sss.. No.."

"Ah, so your deals are with friends." "My deal is personal somewhere in Hell."

"Not with, no. And not always just friends. I simply try to save as many lives as I can."

It's one of the reasons why he's The Doctor.

"As to how the deal is made, depends greatly upon why the deal has to be made in the first place."

[Luke can't help being reminded of some of the images he's seen in old records of the Sith. They often wore masks and had strange scars and tattoos all over.]

I love my wife and my family dearly...but to make the wrong deal...it would open me to what we call the Dark Side. If I knew it would not harm others...then, perhaps. But someone who has devoted his or her life to what I have must be willing to sacrifice if it becomes necessary. To put the safety of the galaxy as a whole first and foremost.

[He has been tempted. Force, he felt it when Mara was sick. And he is only glad he was never tempted in that way.]

The darkness itself is my...demon...as you call it. It is always there, always tempting...but a Jedi, which is what I am, must be able to resist. The Dark Side can be very powerful, but so far, I have overcome it...sometimes alone, sometimes with help from those I love.
