We're all gonna get in a fight! [EVENT: FITE NITE][Warning: Violence and Blood]
People have been disappearing in the Nexus.
Going missing from work, from their homes, from the Plaza.
Locals are staying in their homes, shutting their doors. Even the more shut-in of Nexus goers will be able to tell that something is amiss around here. The Plaza is strangely sparse as far as foot traffic; many of the shops downtown are closing early.
Word is spreading in the Industrial District of an anomaly in the anti-violence field. Easy money for betting in cage fighting. Less easy money but larger amounts for competing in said cage matches. One on one, matches with and without weapons. Rounds go until someone surrenders, is knocked out, or dies. Who would set up such a thing? It's becoming very popular and many a coin is being generated. Are so many people really signing up for this?
Some are. Others are captured and drugged, thrown into the ring against their will with the ultimatum: Fight and get free, or die.
What do you do?
Are you looking to bet your wages? Sign up for a chance at riches? Are you one of the unwilling laying in a dark room?
Or.
Are you going to stand for this if not?
((Please view this OOC post to chat with other players before you jump into a fight! All fights must be agreed upon by participants ahead of time for severity of injuries. Outcomes can be agreed upon or will be decided by a coinflip by myself. Please do not come into this expecting to clean sweep someone without sustaining injuries unless you and your fight partner have agreed ahead of time that would be hilarious. If there are questins, concerns, or complaints PM me. TL:DR Have fun and don't be a dick!))

Daxter's claw stuck through the cage and slashed at the cat demon. Daxter frowned and used the various items in their cage to get up to Jak and try to cut the ropes lose on the hero's arms.

"Sorry not-humie. You're friends with Earboy, you get to stay locked up with him too. The fight will start soon. If you want to walk away free, you better win and put on a good show~~"

Jak frowned and literally was annoyed by the female's "nickname" of him "Earboy, my name is Jak."
Fun, they were stuck in here until someone forces them out to fight.

It's hard to tell how much time has passed. The television in their cell is broadcasting the fights as they happen. Two humans have been fighting for the last couple of minutes, chained to each other by the arm.
Is that how all of these fights work?
When Nekomata comes back, it's with a key she dangles on one claw.
"I'm gonna take you up. You gonna come quietly or am I gonna have to put you two under my spell again nya~?"

Daxter was more likely complaining about how dark it was in the cages until the cat demon came back. Jak was the first to growl and sparks began to run down his back and growled.
Daxter smirked "Oh hold on, Cattie... you pissed off the wrong pair..."
Dark Jak was about to show his face.
The Ottsel growled as Dark Jak was now staring the cat demon in the face with sharp nails, purple skin, white hair, and demon horns.

If everyone came quietly, it wouldn't be any fun for her after all.
The first swing of her claws misses its mark, but rips a chunk of the stone right out as though it were paper being shredded instead of rock. The second catches on one of the bars and sparks against the steel, creating a piercing shriek akin to nails on a chalkboard.
And if Jak is too quick for her to hit, you best believe she's going to swing for Daxter instead.

Dark Jak leaned down as feral as a animal looking for prey and growled, seeing some stone being cut like paper, however yes, Jak was able to move back before the claws were able to hit him.
But Daxter on the other hand, he was Jak's friend. Jak's weakness.

There's a resonance in her voice that is hard to ignore. The room spins slightly and time slows down. Regardless of their inherent like or dislike for the feline demon, she seems pretty convincing and more than a little alluring right now. It's hard to focus on anything but her and her honey covered voice.
Even each other.
"Let's just take a walk, okay?"

Daxter is suddenly attracted and convinced this lady is true to her words and feels the same effects as Jak as they both follow her, feeling really strange..
All Jak and Daxter could focus on was the cat demon's words as they followed her toward where she was leading them toward their fight.
Time for a Smack Down!
Nekomata coos at the pair while she leads them up a long flight of stairs in one of many nondescript hallways deep in the inner workings of the complex.
"So listen carefully nya. You wouldn't want me to gyet upset, right? You're gonna go out there and give it your all. These folks are payin' a lot of money to see some quality fighting, so we gotta give the customer what they want, right? Right."
She isn't expecting actual conversation out of them considering they're under her spell for the moment. Both Jak and Daxter will start to feel as though they're waking from a nap they didn't mean to take. Like with real sleep, it takes some time to fully awaken, and when they do it will be to the bright lights of the Arena and the cheers of the crowd. Nekomata is waving her claws as the doors shut, keeping them from leaving the way they'd come.
Guess they're not going to be fighting her.
A wild pokemon team appears!
The Lucario, as if able to sense Jak's eco-infused aura, merely bows politely to him, despite being shorter than his opponent. Hawlucha, on the other hand, is just flat-out overconfident, taunting Daxter with his fighting poses. The luchadore is about the same height as Daxter, so the fight should pretty even in terms of size. A bell seems to be hanging about the arena, waiting for the teams to be ready, before ringing loudly.
The first move is all for Jak and Daxter.]
Re: A wild pokemon team appears!
Daxter was on the ground standing up and stared at the small creature who seemed a little TOO overconfident for his own good and Daxter pointed out at the creature “Listen, whoever you think you are, there’s room in this arena for one of us and I’m going to be the one left standing, got it?!”
Jak eyed his own opponent and eyed the strange creature, wondering what was in store for him, he started to move his legs back and forth as he nodded at Daxter, let’s go get’m Dax!”
The ottsel’s weapons were scattered somewhere in the arena and he was perfectly willing to use them. Daxter figured if the strange creature was overconfident, he’d use that creature’s overconfidence against him. “Come’er you strange pokemon creature, my claws want a word with ya..”
Jak wouldn’t find his weapons yet, he’d rely on hand to hand so far. He moved across the sand and kicked the Lucario back, hopefully being able to land a hard punch on the pokemon.

[Lucario, being a less-egotistical opponent, has to immediately respond to Jak's kick. He raises up one leg and manages to nullify the blow by connecting his own leg with Jak's, forcing a stalemate. The pokemon seems surprised by his opponent's strength, but has a smile on his face, as if enjoying the fight. Without warning, he leans back and fires off a punch aimed at Jak's chest.]

Distraction...
[Daxter felt the warm sand under his feet and grabbed some throwing it in the Hawlucha's face...]
This would hopefully give the Ottsel enough time to reach for his own weapons... Or otherwise.
[Meanwhile, Jak was focused on the shorter pokemon, and as Jak's leg went up, the Lucario lifted his leg to match his own. Jak focused once again, and nods to his opponent. The Lucario suddenly without warning throws at punch at Jak's chest. Mar's armor would at least soften the blow of the pokemon's punch as Jak double jumped and spun kick the pokemon... ]
Where were his weapons... If he could reach them, he could get more time to slow his opponent down.
sorry for the delay rl got to me
As for Lucario, the kick hits his arm, causing the pokemon to jump back defensively. He wasn't prepared for that, and in a way, the pokemon almost seems impressed instead of frustrated by the situation. Bringing his arms out in front, a bone-like weapon materializes, created by the pokemon's strong aura.
It looks like Lucario wants to to turn this into a weapon war, but where is the weapons that Jak and Daxter own. The answer is an easy one, as a locked box sits off to the side of the area. It's clear that weapons that were taken from the duo are inside. The trick is now to get to them.]
