We're all gonna get in a fight! [EVENT: FITE NITE][Warning: Violence and Blood]
People have been disappearing in the Nexus.
Going missing from work, from their homes, from the Plaza.
Locals are staying in their homes, shutting their doors. Even the more shut-in of Nexus goers will be able to tell that something is amiss around here. The Plaza is strangely sparse as far as foot traffic; many of the shops downtown are closing early.
Word is spreading in the Industrial District of an anomaly in the anti-violence field. Easy money for betting in cage fighting. Less easy money but larger amounts for competing in said cage matches. One on one, matches with and without weapons. Rounds go until someone surrenders, is knocked out, or dies. Who would set up such a thing? It's becoming very popular and many a coin is being generated. Are so many people really signing up for this?
Some are. Others are captured and drugged, thrown into the ring against their will with the ultimatum: Fight and get free, or die.
What do you do?
Are you looking to bet your wages? Sign up for a chance at riches? Are you one of the unwilling laying in a dark room?
Or.
Are you going to stand for this if not?
((Please view this OOC post to chat with other players before you jump into a fight! All fights must be agreed upon by participants ahead of time for severity of injuries. Outcomes can be agreed upon or will be decided by a coinflip by myself. Please do not come into this expecting to clean sweep someone without sustaining injuries unless you and your fight partner have agreed ahead of time that would be hilarious. If there are questins, concerns, or complaints PM me. TL:DR Have fun and don't be a dick!))

[He takes a moment to study Felix's appearance, ears twitching a bit. Nope. This guy doesn't look familiar in the slightest. But that doesn't mean Ice will turn him away, in fact, the bear calmly offers Felix a betting sheet so he can get in on the fun.]
"Do you know anyone on the list? Ice Bear wants to bet on the right person."
no subject
The Imperial scans down the list quickly, making a thoughtful sound. His eyebrows lift sharply at one particular name. "Amelia Ronsam? There's someone I haven't seen in a while. I haven't seen her duel, but I suspect she's quite a nasty opponent up close." And then... he double-takes. Re-reads the name twice.
"James Kirk?" He looks up at Ice Bear, suddenly tense, an edge of alarm to his voice. "Is this an official list? Are all these names correct?"
no subject
[Ice gets momentarily distracted when an attractive young lady comes over to the two of them, offering a glass of champagne to bear and human alike. The attendant cuts off Ice Bear before he can say anything.]
"Of course, good sir. All participants are final." [She gives him a devilish smile before trotting away, leave the bear to pick up the conversation. The best response he can give is to shrug his shoulders.]
"Someone you know?" [He finally speaks up, after a moment.]
no subject
...Oh. Sorry, giant bear.
"...Someone I'm very attached to," he replies, mouth twisting as he looks up at Ice Bear. "I don't suppose you know anything about this... Han Solo he's scheduled to fight?"
no subject
"Space pilot, Han Solo. Rumored to be fast with a gun. Won't matter for the fist-fight though." [The bear looks down at his drink, uncertain if he wants to partake in alcohol until a special friend arrives.] "Ice Bear wants to know what you'll do now."
no subject
"I think I'm going to place a rather unwise bet," he replies, sipping the drink he's been handed and pausing to check if he can detect any untoward effects. Nothing obvious, at least. "See if I can talk to him. I'm... surprised he'd run off to something like this without bringing me along."
no subject
"Ice Bear doesn't think it'll be easy for you to see your friend. Security is tight. Ice Bear is uncertain if any secret entrances exist around here."
no subject
But the real question is whether he can do anything useful with that loyalty, and the bear's point makes him frown, scanning the area for staff of various stripes. "It does seem a tight operation for an illegitimate arena. And perhaps I won't do him any favors in distracting him now... Still. At the very least I'll have to get close to the ring."
no subject
[The bear leans in close as whispers into Felix's ear.] "...Your best shot, if you want to hide somewhere and wait for your friend. Take them something shiny. They'll let you stand there all day. Close to the ring as well." [He pauses, giving Felix a cold stare.] "Don't tell them about Ice Bear."
no subject
"Of course. I understand." He flashes Ice Bear a quick - but genuine - smile. He really hopes the beat isn't setting him up, but if it comes down to it he'll take the gamble. "Thank you."
Something shiny for demonic creatures? He has just the thing...
no subject
As for those two demons, well, you definitely don't want to meet them in a dark alley. Both look completely merciless and eager to kill those who oppose them.]
