There is something different about the Nexus this Christmas season. There is a light snow falling over the entire Nexus plaza. The snow is gentle, with no real coldness to the falling snow flakes. As one approaches the main gathering area, they will notice that there are many Christmas decorations, including garland hanging from the air, and there are twelve towering decorated Christmas trees, some sparkling with tiny icicles, some glittering with hundreds of candles. There are also thousands of floating tiny candles in the Nexus plaza, that gently move at their own discretion.

In one corner, there is an orchestra, directed by a Dwarf. All of the musicians are playing music on instruments made from ice. In the center of the Nexus plaza, is a huge banquet table, loaded with holiday foods and treats that showcases a variety of food from different cultures, and some of the different worlds that gather into the Nexus itself. The main delight of the banquet table is that magic can make the food replenish itself, meaning Christmas dinner never has to end. Most will be able to find something they would enjoy. With the added perk that the food is LOL-free.

There are some added little Christmas adventures, for those who get caught up in the holidays. Here are some of the extra options for the Holiday season.

Secret Santa!
There is an added bonus to the Secret Santa gifts this year. The presents will deliver themselves! There are tons of wrapped gifts floating through the air, destined to only drop when they reach the person to which they are intended. Please note that not all gifts will be given in the spirit of the season. There are a few prank gifts floating around too. Be sure to watch out for them!

Christmas Crackers!
There are Christmas crackers scattered among the tables, and in amongst the branches of the trees. They are decorated with festive paper that is twisted at either end like a sweet wrapper. Inside of the tube are prizes, and some contain Muggle prizes such as a paper hat, a plastic toy, and a slip of paper with a joke printed on it. But the rare person will receive a unique, peculiar magical prize, and will envelop everyone nearby in a cloud of blue smoke.

Weasley Sweaters!
Time to try your luck at the Christmas Sweater bin. There is a large rotating clothing rack that seems to have an endless supply of them. Each one more Festive than the last! Pick one and show your Christmas spirit for the rest of the day.

Enchanted Mistletoe!
Be warned Nexus traveler, the Nargles** have hung enchanted Mistletoe all around the plaza. If an unlucky person steps underneath the Mistletoe, they will find that they are magically stuck to the spot, until they can find someone to kiss them. Of course, the kiss can be platonic, familial, or even romantic. For a few unfortunate people, the kiss may be the last thing they would want to do... but it is that or be stuck in the same spot for the rest of the season.

"Tatsuya?" Oh goodness. Their conversation the last time they ran into each other was cut off by the Nightmare swallowing half his cafe up, and now...

"Stay back. I appear to be trapped in some kind of barrier." He's not about to let Tatsuya get caught up in whatever this is too. What a horrible big brother he would be.

...Yeah, that conversation... he wanted to finish it now that he's gotten calmer, but with Katsuya being in a predicament...

"Alright, gotcha. I'll try and keep a distance." He looks around the area, trying to figure out the source of the problem. "All I see is that odd plant above you, nothing else..." He hums, trying to think of what he knows of Western Christmas traditions... which is, unfortunately, very little. And that makes him groan in annoyance.

"I can't leave you here, though. ...Do you need anything?"

"Go and find one of the mages, maybe? They'd know the most about what to do about this."

Katsuya glances at the mistletoe above him and frowns. Surely a little plant isn't causing all of this. He swears he can hear giggling too....

"I'm not in any danger, just stuck."

A mage? Tatsuya is gonna look blankly at his brother. "Okay, uh, I don't know who's who here." He's gonna look around to see if he feels any senses that pings to him as magic oriented. "Maybe descriptions could help...? Ugh...”

He looks at the plant above his brother, then at his hand. Perhaps he could use Apollo’s fire magic and burn that plant... but it’s attached to a doorway, and Tatsuya’s not interested in committing arson anytime soon. Besides, he’s not sure if that plant really is the source of Katsuya’s problem. “Does that plant look familiar to you, bro?”

"Er, right. Of course."

It's amazing how similar they appear when they make the same face. Though Tatsuya probably doesn't take any comfort in seeing just how much like himself his brother looks (because who wants to grow up to be just like their uncool older sibling at that age). Katsuya sighs heavily and adjusts his glasses. Glances up at the plant with a frown.

There's that blasted laughter again.

"Decoration, I assume. Mistletoe perhaps?"

Now, now, Katsuya, it's not just you Tatsuya resembles, there's your father, too.

...Wait. Mistletoe?! He knows what that is, now he knows the name! Mistletoe, in Western Christmas tradition... the movies he watched should help him out. When two people are under the mistletoe...

...Oh. OH DEAR. Tatsuya blushes furiously as he realized exactly what the situation is. "Ah, bro? If that mistletoe's the thing that's keeping you stuck... you might not like the solution in getting you unstuck."

"What? Why? Is it dangerous? I'm not going to eat it, what's it do?"

He doesn't understand his brother's reaction, but if it's that bad Katsuya will have to brave whatever dangers it faces rather than let his brother fall prey to the same.

Hermione is still making her rounds around the party, when she hears a very familiar giggling. Crookshanks hisses slightly, turning to follow the sound. And she follows him.

It soon leads them both to Katsuya, stuck under the mistletoe, and someone who looks a little like Katsuya standing nearby.

"Katsuya! Did the Nargles infect the mistletoe? Are you stuck?"

“Wha-“ Tatsuya jumps slightly as Hermione and Crookshanks approches the brothers. “Infected mistletoe? Is that why bro’s stuck?” He doesn’t know what Nargles are, but Tatsuya knows one thing is certain- someone’s gonna kiss Katsuya, and he’s hoping it doesn’t have to be him.

"I do not know what a Nargle is but something above me keeps laughing and I am unable to leave this doorway."

The poor officer looks equal parts confused and annoyed. He was trying to do something nice to help the party! And now he is stuck here, underneath the mistletoe.

"Do you know how to fix this?"

"They are a mischievous pixie. Fond of playing jokes on people."

Hermione nods. "It is a simple curse to break." She steps underneath the mistletoe with Katsuya and places a soft kiss on his cheek.

"Try moving now."

Tatsuya... is just gonna stand there with a hand over his mouth, partially glad that he wasn't the one to do it. But on the other hand, he can imagine how flustered his brother is gonna end up from being kissed.
