There is something different about the Nexus this Christmas season. There is a light snow falling over the entire Nexus plaza. The snow is gentle, with no real coldness to the falling snow flakes. As one approaches the main gathering area, they will notice that there are many Christmas decorations, including garland hanging from the air, and there are twelve towering decorated Christmas trees, some sparkling with tiny icicles, some glittering with hundreds of candles. There are also thousands of floating tiny candles in the Nexus plaza, that gently move at their own discretion.

In one corner, there is an orchestra, directed by a Dwarf. All of the musicians are playing music on instruments made from ice. In the center of the Nexus plaza, is a huge banquet table, loaded with holiday foods and treats that showcases a variety of food from different cultures, and some of the different worlds that gather into the Nexus itself. The main delight of the banquet table is that magic can make the food replenish itself, meaning Christmas dinner never has to end. Most will be able to find something they would enjoy. With the added perk that the food is LOL-free.

There are some added little Christmas adventures, for those who get caught up in the holidays. Here are some of the extra options for the Holiday season.

Secret Santa!
There is an added bonus to the Secret Santa gifts this year. The presents will deliver themselves! There are tons of wrapped gifts floating through the air, destined to only drop when they reach the person to which they are intended. Please note that not all gifts will be given in the spirit of the season. There are a few prank gifts floating around too. Be sure to watch out for them!

Christmas Crackers!
There are Christmas crackers scattered among the tables, and in amongst the branches of the trees. They are decorated with festive paper that is twisted at either end like a sweet wrapper. Inside of the tube are prizes, and some contain Muggle prizes such as a paper hat, a plastic toy, and a slip of paper with a joke printed on it. But the rare person will receive a unique, peculiar magical prize, and will envelop everyone nearby in a cloud of blue smoke.

Weasley Sweaters!
Time to try your luck at the Christmas Sweater bin. There is a large rotating clothing rack that seems to have an endless supply of them. Each one more Festive than the last! Pick one and show your Christmas spirit for the rest of the day.

Enchanted Mistletoe!
Be warned Nexus traveler, the Nargles** have hung enchanted Mistletoe all around the plaza. If an unlucky person steps underneath the Mistletoe, they will find that they are magically stuck to the spot, until they can find someone to kiss them. Of course, the kiss can be platonic, familial, or even romantic. For a few unfortunate people, the kiss may be the last thing they would want to do... but it is that or be stuck in the same spot for the rest of the season.

"Oh, so paramilitary kinda stuff? Figures. Formal government stiffs needa get work done, but can't dirty their own hands the way they'd like. I've seen the cops keep less-than-savory bedfellows back home, too. Don't go so far as puttin' bombs in folks, but yanno ... there are arrangements made."

He cocks his head. "Are the rest of your crew in the same boat? Prisoners?"

"They are. Basically, if we did good... and didn't get ourselves blown up... we were rewarded with time off our prison sentence."

"But ya'know... when you are serving multiple sentence, a few months does not really matter in the long run."

Majima gives a commiseratory growl. "Stingy bastards."

His eye suddenly widens and he gives Harley a once-over. "... Hold up. Does this mean ya still got a bomb inside ya?"

"No..." Harley laughs softly.

"The only good thing my ex did for me was get rid of the nano bomb. He kidnapped the wife of the scientist who designed the nanos so that the bomb could be de-activated."

"I didn't stay with the group because of the bomb... I liked them all."

"Your ex sounds like a real sweetheart," he snorts, swirling the spicy dregs at the bottom of his cocoa.

"Must suck not bein' able to see your buddies after goin' through all that. Maybe you gotta get 'em word about this place."

"Maybe..."

"I didn't really get a chance to talk to them at all, when I recently went back."

He sighs, realizing he's done a fine job of dragging down the festive mood. "Well, hey ... here's to new friends?"

Majima scans the surroundings, and lights up when he sees the band. "You like dancin'?"

"Love it!" Harley grins.

She stands up before he can change his mind, and offers her hand to his. "Let's go cut a rug, daddio!"

"Atta girl! Right answer!" He deposits his empty cocoa cup on a nearby table and clasps her offered hand in his, maneuvering closer to the band and the mixed bag of dancers it's attracted.

"Just promise you won't give me shit if my moves are a li'l stale. I'm a couple decades behind most'a the folks 'round here."

"You show me your moves, and I will adjust appropriately." Harley tells him. She doesn't want him to feel awkward.

[gorogorogoro_chan]

"Puttin' me on the spot, huh?" The band strikes up an icy-instrumental rendition of "Last Christmas" by Wham! At least it's a song he knows. Majima gently leads her into the steps of a partner dance that's not a far cry from something out of Saturday Night Fever. He's actually pretty good at this?

He laughs. "Well, if I make a fool'a myself, I'm takin' you down with me."

Harley matches him step-to-step, moving gracefully to his direction. Once she gets the kind of dance style he is going for... she catches on fast.

"No one will consider you a fool, when you are with me." She laughs.

"I like that confidence," Majima says during a passing twirl. "Hah! You ever give any thought to hostessin', Harley-chan? You sure got a knack for makin' a guy feel special."

"I am looking for a good job. You offering me something decent?"

[gorogorogoro_chan]

"Good job? Dunno about good but between hourly pay and whatever tips you can squeeze outta some lonely rich guys, it sure ain't bad.

"No touchin'. No hanky-panky. Just make 'em think they're hot shit 'cause a gorgeous gal is talkin' to 'em. And ... help 'em rack up a solid drink tab, natch."

"Well since I am currently unemployed... a little money is better than none."

She smiles. "Oh. I am very good at getting close, without touching." She dances closer to him. Close enough that there is only a little space between them. But she obviously has her moves controlled, that every twist of the hip is a little tease of what could be.

Harley's performance definitely doesn't go unnoticed. "Yeah, that's what we're lookin' for. Just uh, don't get 'em too fired up, or they'll get hands-y.

"I mentioned the Grand before, right? That's my main gig, but I got another club I took under my wing. It's a little cozier, not as tangled up in uh, questionable upper-management. Nicer bunch all around. You should come by an' take a look-see."

"Try touching me... see what happens." Harley grins at him.

"I would like that. Anytime you want me to visit..."

Majima continues keeping step with the music, mulling over that threat for a moment before giving her a lopsided smile. "... Alright. Lemme put on my entitled perv hat for a sec."

He clears his throat theatrically, then loops an arm around Harley's waist in a brazen attempt to close the scant distance and pull her in tight. "Hubba, hubba! Come to papa, sweetcheeks."

Before he can even loop her arm around her waist, Harley spins out of his reach. But to still 'give the client a show', she drops to the ground in the splits, and bends backwards to demonstrate just how agile she can be.

Then she flips back up to her feet, and smiles at him.

And returns to the dance. "Good enough to avoid the no touching rule?"

Whatever Majima was expecting, it apparently wasn't anything quite so acrobatic. "D-damn, girl. You got moves."

He does a spin, ending with drawn finger guns. "Ten-outta-ten, Harley-chan. Doesn't hurt the customer, still sexy as all get-out."

"I used to dance all the time at Joker's Club. He didn't like people touching me either." Harley explains.

"Excellent." She claps her hands. Excited.

[gorogorogoro_chan]

"Hah! Should'a known you already got chops as an entertainer." Majima glances up as the song winds down, the other dancers beginning to mill around or make run for refreshments. The band appears to be taking a needed break before they strike up the next tune.

"Any club owner worth his salt knows to keep his girls safe from scumbags. Was this Joker guy's joint back in New York?"

"No. Gotham. That is where I used to live, before getting caught and put in Arkham." Harley answers. She takes his arm in hers. Since the dancing has come to a natural break.

[gorogorogoro_chan]

"Gotham? I ain't heard of it. Then again, I know shit-all about American cities outside'a maybe Chicago, New York, LA ... DC ... ?"

Majima rests a hand on her twined forearm. "Your boss' sales must'a dropped off big-time once you got locked up. But lucky me, I get to poach his talent."
