There's another dinosaur in the Nexus, this one smaller, gray with a distinctive blue stripe along her side. She stands upright, displaying razor-sharp teeth and sickle-shaped claws.

Blue knows to stay away from people, so she hasn't entered the Plaza, instead hunting in the Wilds. Velociraptors are normally pack dinosaurs, and she's been limited to relatively small prey. However, she got lost wwhile chasing a deer too near the edge, and she's foud herself in a place ful of activity. She's fed recently enough that she doesn't need to hunt, so the raptor just wanders around the Plaza, occasionally giving a sharp bark and probably scaring a few people on the way.

She saw the PSA as she wandered, but doesn't have much idea of what the human on it said, since her knowledge of English is fairly limited to what she was trained to know. But she knows that this place isn't Home. Still, there's places to run, fresh water to drink, and prey to hunt. Blue can get used to it. She's more confused than anything else. Maybe a little scared, with no Alpha or pack here to guide her.

Her barks, while most humans won't understand them, are a raptor's way of caling for help, and after a couple hours of wandering around in the Nexus Blue is very distressed. Help! I'm lost! Do you know the way back to the Wilds?

So who would have thought that there was a secret portal behind his dad's old mirror in the secret room? Kaito's seen the PSA video, looked at the pamphlets and if he didn't personally know a witch and chase after a mythical jewel practically every night he'd probably think he'd gone insane. If he's honest he's a little weirded out but he won't show it on his face. Instead, he just wanders through the Plaza looking around and taking in all the sights. He even has the pamphlet out to match up building. It's quite place, this. Color him impressed.

Once the spiky haired teen is mostly satisfied with his exploration he does what any attention seeking magician would do-he sets up shop in the most conspicuous spot he can find and folds out the pamphlet for any passerby's to see.

"Wanna see a trick?" He asks, a slight smirk on his face as he tears the pamphlet to bits and then shows his audience by pulling the pieces apart that he had definitely torn it into pieces. He crumbles the remaining pieces in his hand and then, keeping his fist closed tight tapping on it with his free hand. "One... two... THREE!"

On three there's a burst of confetti and suddenly that pamphlet he'd ripped up is whole again with no traces of having been torn up as evidenced by his holding it up to show off.

It's that time of year. Holidays around every corner, family and friends dropping in unannounced, needing to be entertained and fed and plied with stories of how you've been, how is work, and all sorts of things. The thing is, for most of Jim Kirk's life he's never known any of that. It's hard to have sudden family visits when you don't have much in the way of family and aren't speaking to damn near all of them.

Which makes this day exceptionally stressful.

No Starfleet uniform today--even if Jim wanted to he's not allowed to wear any of his own clothes for where he's about to be headed. Instead he's dressed in a soft wool tunic in his preferred golden color and simple linen pants beneath the fur lined cloak he's got pulled over his clothes. Gloved hands fidget with the ties on all of this, a nervous habit he can't quite stop himself from making.

He stops his pacing when he nearly stumbles over a passer-by with how lost in thought he is and it's only then that the captain looks up at whomever he's nearly trodden upon.

"What's the best way to impress your in-laws? What's the etiquette for meeting someone's family for the first time?"

The Nexus is certainly a puzzle. During his first few hours in this strange place, Connor repeatedly tried to contact his handlers at Cyberlife for further instructions. His mental link to their databases only brought back static. That was troubling.

Eventually, the android came to the uneasy conclusion that surely collecting data on the Nexus would be useful to his creators.

[ New Objective: Create A Report On Interdimensional Plane "Nexus" ]

Ever since, he's been simply wandering around, building an internal map of important landmarks and cataloging things like ambient temperatures and general population demographics. Every evening he sends a report of his findings to Cyberlife, never quite sure if they can actually receive his transmissions or not. He may just be reporting to an empty void... What else is an android to do?

He likes the plaza. Not even in terms of his mission--it's just nice to look at.

Today he's chosen it again as his investigation area, perhaps with a bit of guilt at the indulgence. It occurs to him suddenly that perhaps the building materials of this place are fundamentally different than on Earth. He decides to test it. In view of everyone in the street, he simply runs his fingernail over the crusty outer wall of a cafe and then puts the finger in his mouth.

Processing...

Brick. This building is made of a brick very similar, elementally speaking, to the ones you'd find somewhere as mundane as Detroit. Fascinating.

A bystander caught him licking a building. He gives them a smile.

"Hello. My name is Connor. Can I assist you with anything, today? Don't be shy. I'm designed to help people, and I'm very good at it."

The guy might be a little starved for orders.
