oversized shoes and long luxurious locks

After the Dawning event, Rapunzel had received some advice on where to purchase shoes. So now the previously barefoot woman is proudly wearing a pair of men's shoes, that are two sizes too big for her. She sits on the edge of a fountain in the Nexus, admiring a lily that had floated by.

The long, long, long cascading length of her hair is wrapped around the base of the fountain a few times.

"Did you know that some flowers have meaning to them?" She excitedly asks someone who was walking by. "I just learned that the Oenothera means wine seeker. Which is funny... because I don't even know what wine is..."

"Should I be seeking some wine?" She asks again, just as excited.

"There are so many things I have never tried before... if you had to experience something for the first time, all over again... what would it be?"

"There are flowers that grow on the ocean?" Rapunzel asks a question. Then pauses a moment with the comment about being young, and being sheltered.

"No one has to answer the question, if they do not want to."

"Yeah, plants will find a way to survive. There are also some of them that have no roots."

"You're right. Just I'm a little wary thanks to a damned mutt." Okay she may be spending too mush time with Dean. "Though goin' ta UoH may be something I would do again. Transfer out in the first semester."

Rapunzel twirls a lock of hair in her fingers, and frowns.

"Most of those words do not make any sense to me. I am sorry."

Well that explained the whole sheltered bit. Taylor nodded to the the edge of the fountain. "Mind if I have a seat? I can explain if ya want."

"I never asked the fountain ... I am sure it is fine." Rapunzel nods slightly.

"It might be things unique to your world. That I don't have in mine too. So I am not sure how much you will be able to explain."

"I mea... Thanks." She seated herself, making sure not to step on the long golden locks.

"UoH is University of Hawaii, the islands I grew up on." She grinned, "It's a place of learning. A semester is a length of time in school terms. Usually about eighteen weeks." She was gauging how the younger girl could take that.

"As far as I know... we do not have... University... in my world." Rapunzel nodded slightly. "I learned from books that Mother had at the Tower."

Taylor thought a moment. "So you're more an independent learner. Nothing wrong with that. Sometimes it just works better." She added. "Less lectures."

"I left to learn more about the world. And what was around me. There was only so much one can do at one place, over time."

[sharktoothtotem]

"You are an adventurer with... No offense, but the long hair? I have to know, how do you keep it clean? I'm always getting mine muddy within hours on a dig site." She tucked her hair out of her face. "I spend a lot of time digging up my world's past."

"It actually is quite difficult for my hair to get dirty. Actually."

Rapunzel looks at the length wrapped around the Fountain.

"It might be part of the magic."

"Okay seriously, unfair." She smirked. Though the word magic had her reach for her necklace.

"Witch? I'm just curious."

"Me? I do not think so."

Rapunzel pauses. And looks in the fountain for a moment.

"I could heal your injury... if you wanted to see."

[sharktoothtotem]

Taylor glanced at her ankle.

"Normally I'd be okay with that, but... Pretty sure Dean would flip." She grinned. "Besides, it's not that bad, I've had worse from surfing trips."

"Okay." Rapunzel only gives her a smile. She is not going to use her powers on someone who does not ask for them.

"I'm Taylor," She holds out her hand.

[thesundrop]

"Nice to meet you. I am Rapunzel."

She does not know what Taylor wants by sticking out her hand. Rapunzel has never seen introductions or greetings with a handshake. So does not offer her hand in return.

Taylor chuckled. "Take it you've never shaken someone's hand. Here, hold your hand out like mine. It's a form of greeting."

"Is it mandatory? Do I have to do it?" Rapunzel is still nervous.

[sharktoothtotem]

"It's polite, originally it was to show that you were unarmed. But if it makes ya nervous it's okay."
