Spidey's Charity Winter Fair!

Tis the season for giving and gifting, for doing right by your neighbors and strangers alike.

The Nexus is no stranger to parties and gatherings by now. Fliers have been put up--banners are webbed hung up around a sectioned off block of the Plaza inviting all and sundry to come partake in a charity winter fair. Its host zips between tables to help carry anything heavy or to make sure those who need it have access to power. Spider-Man might be a recognizable Hero back home, but here he's dwarfed in size and abilities alike by the powerhouse volunteers who are helping make his idea take shape in reality. Gods, otherworldly individuals of races Spider-Man can't even guess at--but people too.

So many more than Peter could have expected.

Soon one side of the street is awash in seasonal aromas as tables get assembled laden with pies, jams, and drinks ready to be served up to interested guests. Spidey makes sure to drop off a little bag of hand made sweets to one of the volunteers who brought her kids along to make sure they don't get fussy or left out of all the fun. His head spins when he thinks of how much grander this is than just the one or two tables he and Matt discussed when they were talking out plans. It's really happening.

He's quick to jump over to the other side of the street and grab up a snow shovel to clear away space for the spots being set up for entertainment. Every shovel full of snow he clears for a puppet theater can get dumped into a pile beneath a rigged up seat for a dunking booth of sorts. Already curious onlookers point and laugh, their voices carrying in the crisp air eager for the games about to be played.

In the center of the sectioned off block sits their headquarters for the event where tickets can be sold, raffles held, and a table set up for straight donations just next to it. The man behind it is far more calm than the young costumed man who leans up against the table to catch his breath once everything seems to be coming together.

Spidey's hopeful when he looks over his shoulder to ask, "How many folks d'you think are gonna come?"

((OOC: See the OOC Post here if you have any questions about what this event is! We have several coordinators who will be posting their own top level comments for attractions here with subject lines advertising them but all will be linked to beneath this spot for ease of access as they go up! Feel free to mingle, this is a party post so back tagging and threadhopping are allowed. Enjoy!))

Kojin had come to the fair alongside his other fireteam mates to check out the festivities. The hunter was easily recognizable in his bright red cloak with swirly gold embroidery. It was one he pulled out for the Dawning, which was the celebration that always came to the the Last City this time of year. His Ghost, Hoshi, glowed softly as she floated alongside him in a shell that resembled a small paper lantern.

Eyeing the booth curiously with gold eyes lined in black, the Hunter hummed thoughtfully. "Well, this looks interesting. So someone sits on that, and another tries to hit the target? Huh...my aim is too good it wouldn't be fai-"

"Oh stop, you are so full of shit." Katiri drawled, approaching her team mate. "You get in the hot seat and I'll be happy to hit your face with a snowball."

"That's if you can hit me!" Kojin bantered, dancing out of reach cheekily.

Luce hovered at Katiri's shoulder and was audibly cackling. "Oh hi Harley!" The Ghost greeted.

"No throwing snowballs at other people's faces." Harley shook her finger to accent the main rule of her booth.

"And you would be surprised how different throwing a snowball is... compared to other things." She winks over at the confident Katiri.

"But you are both welcome to give it a try. Especially if one of you is willing to sit in the ... cold seat." She winks again.

At the called quip from above, Kojin laughed and executed a leaping backflip from a standing position; landing lightly on his feet with arms spread as if to say 'ta-daah'. When he saw the figure swinging above them, he whistled. "Damn I kinda wanna learn how to do that."

Katiri snorted, grinning widely as she packed a snowball in her hands. "Okay, hot shot get ready to be dunked." Luce was still cackling at her shoulder in complete amusement.

Kojin waved his hands and sauntered over to the dunking booth, arranging his cloak as he sat down. "Give it your best shot Kit Kat!"

Katiri drew back her hand to throw, but was stopped by a voice at her elbow. "Let me do it!"

Kojin caught sight of the tiny Titan and waved his hands rapidly; knowing how deadly accurate her aim was. Widget had the best grenade throwing accuracy out of the entire fireteam. "No! Aw hell no!" He protested, causing Katiri to laugh. "No fair!"

Harley glances over to the new tiny Titan who was asking to throw the snowball. And grinned. "Hey... it is lotsa different throwing a snowball. Think he has the aim?"
