+1 Doctor
The Doctor arrives in the Nexus. And he's not sure how he got here. Not that it matters. He has no TARDIS and no memories of Clara. All he has are the clothes on his back, his sonic specks, and his trusty guitar. Okay, he has a little rucksack filled with a change of clothes and other odds and ends that he's collected on his quest.
He looks around and this place looks... rather American, considering. Of course, everything looked American to him these days, he's spent far too long in the States looking first for the TARDIS and then for Clara. He so far has been unsuccessful at both.
"Excuse me, has anyone seen someone called Clara?"
{{OOC: The Doctor's Canonpoint will be in flux until I figure out which one is best for this setting. I'll make it clear in his threads.}}

"Well that's a good question, feels like there isn't a black and white answer to it. I could say nobody decides pain and corruption, but that would leave out those who are currently experiencing pain and corruption or have had experienced those in the past. I reckon it all comes down to an individual level, it's up to us, every single individual out there to decide what is pain, what is chaos and what is corruption." Waylon finally replies.

Mostly, he's curious. Because, well, Waylon is talking about him, without knowing he's talking to him. It gives a bit of an idea about how others see him.

He shrugs. He knows.
"I don't mean that he's a bad man. But people have a way of putting others on a pedestal without knowing anything about that individual. And you're kidding yourself if you think he's not corrupt. All Time Lords are corrupt, it comes with longevity of life. It's a matter of how they deal with it."

Which is how he knows things. He's ancient.
"So, the Doctor. What does he look like these days?"
no subject
"Well the Doctor he's around my height. Short brown hair and likes to wear a suit, says allonsy a lot. He says it his tenth incarnation. I actually met the Doctor first when he was his in Ninth."
no subject
And he's a hell of a bird.
"Young and carefree, then...."
no subject
Yeah I suppose so," Waylon chuckles, being reminded of the days he would spend with various women and guys in one night stands, "Probably not by human standards anymore. I use to sleep around quite a bit but now I usually stick to my two perma companions, Hank Williams Jr and Willie Nelson. I would've been more into cocaine but doesn't have much effect on us Time Lords." Waylon shrugs, just being honest.
no subject
"That... wasn't the kind of 'carefree' I was referring..."
Give him a minute.
"Wait. 'Sleep around'? Why? Isn't the TARDIS good enough?"
Yeah, it kind of went over his head, but was that intentional or not?
no subject
Waylon stares at him in confusion, pretty sure that he might've not gotten what he meant. He was meaning to say that he had sex and wait, did that mean that the other man might've went 4.5 billion years without knowing about or having it? He thinks it might be more the latter cause how can one go that long without knowing about it.
"Well I meant umm...having bedtime recreational activities," Waylon starts off feeling a bit awkward, "And the Tardis isn't the only place I partake in sex, just the only place I do it in nowadays. Previously I would do them in hotel rooms when I went on my tours."
no subject
The Doctor's frown deepens. "And your TARDIS lets you? What about 'no hanky panky on the TARDIS?"
Or is that only a 'his rule' because of River? But In general Time Lords having Sex? Since when? Pythia's Curse made it utterly unnecessary. Odd. This Time Lord is very very odd.
"I think we maybe should change the topic."
no subject
"Agreed. So what kind of music do you play? Waylon asks, deciding to go back to the topic of music. He figure that would be the next best topic since apparently the other man knows how to play guitar.
no subject
"Oh, a little bit of everything... which is actually surprising, since I used the play the spoons and the recorder before that."
no subject
no subject
Folk, yes. Country. No.

Colour the Doctor confused.
"What is a 'Perma companion'? And why would you refer to them as that? Is there something wrong with friend? Or in your case band-mate?"
no subject
"Of course friend is enough and they are my friends, I just mean that Hank Jr and Willie are more then just my friends..." Waylon pauses, he didn't want to bring back the same kind of awkwardness as the previous topic had, "And those two friends of mine....well they are going to be with me along fro the ride for a very long time so to speak." Waylon says with a smile.
no subject
Because seriously? No such thing as a 'perma companion' for Time Lords. Me had been right in some ways... They all blow away like smoke. The only thing you can do is appreciate them while you can.
