Welcome Committee
There's been so many fresh faces to the Nexus recently, and more than a few of them have been children. Questions about finding a way home, about trying to decide if they want to go home. People wondering what to do now...
There are a few tables set out this morning in the Plaza in front of a small cafe loaded with several caraffes of coffee, breakfast pastries from more than a few different worlds and cultures, and a large pan of eggs and sausage kept warm over a chafing dish. On either end of the table are disposable plates, cups, and cutlery as well as a few welcome pamphlets in a small container. Along the front of the tables is a hand made banner.
"Meet and Greet"
Manning the tables is Katsuya Suou, red apron on and a cup of coffee in hand. He looks far too cheerful for how early in the morning it is.
"Right then, is anyone hungry? Have any questions about the nexus?"
((OOC: Feel free to mingle and threadjump in this thread. I'm trying to get people who have yet to meet to interact, so do not feel obligated to only reply to me!))

"You're right. And prior to us arriving, we've dealt with something massive on a biblical sense. At least from where we're concerned. Angels, demons, God, Lucifer, and The Darkness herself. But ghosts and vampires, I take they're a universal standard." Sam takes another piece of fruit, this time a slice of watermelon in his hands. "But we've dealt with shapeshifters, werewolves, fairies, trolls..." Sam takes a bite of the piece of fruit in his hand. "Witches, wendigos, wraiths. The list goes on."
While Dean went to visit a monk to get a stomach virus, Sam spent time doing what he does best. Research. But at the mention of there being some recommendable apothecaries and alchemists, Sam cannot help but to smile a little. "Phew, I was hoping I wasn't going to need to have phoenix feathers, bones of a saint, and holy water shipped here from home. As for the type of magic, I'm a bit of a jack of all trades and master of none." This is true as he isn't a warlock. "But as of late I've been using Enochian. Or angel magic." Those days of dealing with vampire nests and ghosts aren't as frequent as they once were.

"I'm not familiar with 'biblical' creatures," he says. Nor is he sure what Sam means by that word. Creatures out of books? "Though dealing appropriately with gods is a valuable ability. Not to mention werebeasts of any sort."
Unfortunately, he also looks a little perplexed at some of the ingredients Sam's listing. "I believe I have seen 'phoenix feathers' here, but 'holy water'... you mean water from a sacred spring, perhaps?"

At one point, all of this would seem to be overwhelming, and Sam may have seen some of these creatures of the Nexus as a potential threat. But he has come to learn so much since he left law school to hunt with his brother.
And with a laugh, Sam shakes his head. "Holy water is ordinary water that has been blessed by a priest. We tend to use it as a weapon against demons, and it tends to be very effective on them for the most part."
no subject
"Really? A pity that doesn't seem to be of use against the creatures we call demons, or they'd be much easier to counter." He might try it later anyway. Just in case. "You say you and and your brother have been handling these creatures as freelance adventurers?"

And there is a nod of his head, and Sam finally starts to eat the rest of his food before it gets cold. "We've been doing it as far as both of us can remember." Even though Sam made an attempt to try to live a normal life. "Even if I took a break to further educate myself, and considered trying to do what normal people back home do."

True, specializing in hunting vampires and other magical beasts isn't exactly a common career in Tamriel, but neither is it all that strange.

He looks back to his plate of food that is starting to get cold, and he goes to take another fork full of omelette. "Oh right, dragons."
no subject
He pauses, almost smiles ruefully. "Though I can't say we've found a ready solution to the dragons yet."
no subject
"And we've dealt with unholy creatures as well, so we're a bit of a catch all when it comes to hunters of the supernatural."
He nods and then there is a bit of a look on his face. And if there was any creature, he wants to see before the life of a hunter catches up to him. "Any chance I could visit your world to see one of these dragons. Or maybe I might be able to find some dragon bones."
Sam has a dreamy smile on his face at the idea of having a chance to see one up close, be it the bones of a dragon or even a living one.

With that kind of experience, these brothers might be a valuable addition to their sheriff's fledgling team. Provided they're able to work well with people outside of their own family...
He considers Sam's expression and nods a little. "Our duty requires us to be cautious about allowing anyone to travel to our world. Nonetheless, I wouldn't be averse to considering such a visit, were you to demonstrate your trustworthiness... and ability. A dragon is a dangerous creature to try and observe, after all."

And while Castiel and perhaps Sam are more than willing and capable of working outside of the family business, Dean is a completely different story.
With a nod of his head, and a sip of his coffee Sam's look of excitement fades at the news. "I'm sure that's the case with most of the worlds here." But he still does smile, as he steeples his fingers together. "Trust me, the dragons of our world still resemble big giant lizards that breath fire and are considered to be dangerous. Just..." He clears his throat. "...considering all of the creatures we've seen, a dragon is one of them. That and aliens."
