Welcome Committee
There's been so many fresh faces to the Nexus recently, and more than a few of them have been children. Questions about finding a way home, about trying to decide if they want to go home. People wondering what to do now...
There are a few tables set out this morning in the Plaza in front of a small cafe loaded with several caraffes of coffee, breakfast pastries from more than a few different worlds and cultures, and a large pan of eggs and sausage kept warm over a chafing dish. On either end of the table are disposable plates, cups, and cutlery as well as a few welcome pamphlets in a small container. Along the front of the tables is a hand made banner.
"Meet and Greet"
Manning the tables is Katsuya Suou, red apron on and a cup of coffee in hand. He looks far too cheerful for how early in the morning it is.
"Right then, is anyone hungry? Have any questions about the nexus?"
((OOC: Feel free to mingle and threadjump in this thread. I'm trying to get people who have yet to meet to interact, so do not feel obligated to only reply to me!))

I think it sounds very exciting to create something of your own like this,
" Ghost speaks up quietly, drawing a glance from Blaze."...Yeah." She sounds a bit distracted, but she means it. She lifts a hand to clap Katsuya's shoulder, ever the tactile one. "Sometimes it's not about the obvious kind of need. So the next plan is a Halloween party, huh?"
no subject
"Thank you Ghost, Blaze."
He looks back at the cafe at the mention of the party and smiles.
"Yes, Ice Bear brought it up to me shortly after we'd opened. Said he knew someone who could handle the decor and we started drawing up ideas for a menu and a block party we could host. I'm very eager to see how it turns out."

"A block party?" Blaze tilts her head, unfamiliar with the term. It sounds good, though. "It's a fine idea. And a fine way to put your kitchen to the test. Guess we'll have to make time in our patrol schedule to stop by. Our Festival of the Lost is coming up about the same time, and I'll need all the organic people I can get to take some candy off my hands."

The officer looks from Ghost to Blaze, head tilting in a thoughtful sort of expression while he regards the pair of them.
"What do you two eat or drink, if anything? I'd like to make sure you're able to enjoy yourselves too. Is there somewhere here I can order non-organic food and/or drink from?"

For the record that streetlight made a full recovery, all right?"
Oh, I don't consume anything, but it's nice of you to ask,
" Ghost assures him. "Blaze can drink- well, sort of.
""I just use any kind of powerpack or battery with a decent voltage and contacts I can get inside my mouth," Blaze explains with a shrug. "You really don't have to, though - it's not like I get hungry or thirsty. Only thing that changes when I'm buzzed is I talk too much and act goofier."
no subject
It seems like the good officer is especially embarrassed by this admission. He tugs at his tie a bit and refuses to make eye contact as he waffles on whether or not to speak up.
"I...I tend to get rather emotional."
no subject
"Hey, you make it sound like a bad thing. Nothing wrong with cutting loose once in a while. Hell, that's half the point of festival masks."
