There's been so many fresh faces to the Nexus recently, and more than a few of them have been children. Questions about finding a way home, about trying to decide if they want to go home. People wondering what to do now...

There are a few tables set out this morning in the Plaza in front of a small cafe loaded with several caraffes of coffee, breakfast pastries from more than a few different worlds and cultures, and a large pan of eggs and sausage kept warm over a chafing dish. On either end of the table are disposable plates, cups, and cutlery as well as a few welcome pamphlets in a small container. Along the front of the tables is a hand made banner.

"Meet and Greet"

Manning the tables is Katsuya Suou, red apron on and a cup of coffee in hand. He looks far too cheerful for how early in the morning it is.

"Right then, is anyone hungry? Have any questions about the nexus?"

"Oh man, I really hope it's the night of because I'm not even close to done decorating."

Josh gives a bit of a nervous laugh at that. He's been working every day for the last week getting everything set up. The haunted house is almsot done, but there's still the whole cafe and outdoor area to get to. And he can't really get a jumpstart on that until the event comes around, since it's still open for regular business and all.

"Oh, it's um."

He's not sure exactly what he expected Josh to say, but he has to be honest, he wasn't expecting the young man to be throwing a nexus sized party by himself.

"Do you need any help? I could probably put in a few hours if you need it. Sticking things up in high places is ... kind of my thing when I'm at home."

Heh. If only you knew, Josh.

It's Josh's turn to be surprised here. He hadn't really expected a guy he'd just met to be offering to help him out with stuff like that. Miles is officially a better person than he is. That's got to be some kind of a record for finding that out.

"I've got the real tough stuff put up already, but I might take you up on that come clean up."

He rubs at the back of his neck and looks down at what's left of his drink before he murmurs an explanation.

"To be honest, the hardest thing for me is lifting some of the heavier props and stuff. I'm not as strong as I used to be anymore."

Miles is officially a good person. That's all he tries to be and for the most part, he feels like he does a pretty good job of that. He isn't trying to be better than anyone else, just ... he wants to help where and when that he can. He doesn't really think much more about it.

"Well, you're in luck because I can move things and I'm pretty good at following directions."

Not need to mention that he's pretty strong for a skinny kid. Josh will figure that out during clean up time.

"Do you guys clean up at night after the party or the next morning?"

Josh chuckles at the question, giving the guy a crooked smile as he shrugs those shoulders.

"I'm so not cleaning up until the next morning. Whenever I hit my party crash I am so done for the night. If the officer and Ice Bear want everything cleaned up that night, they better have someone else in mind."

"Seriously Miles. Thanks for the offer, bro. I...I appreciate it."

"Agreed." Miles says with a faint smile and a nod. "If I'm staying up that late, I don't want it to be because I'm getting ready for clean up. It will be because I'm still having fun."

He doesn't seem to want any thanks for the offer. He just wants to live up to the mantle of friendly-neighborhood ... um, every day kid in the Nexus.

"No problem Josh. It will be nice to have more people I know around here, so. Happy to help."
