1st Annual Halloween Block Party!

Perhaps it's the leaves of fiery golds and oranges drifting on the breeze, or the sight of various hard squash being mangled into festive ornaments, or even still the bowls of candy left out simply everywhere in the Nexus that signifies the import of today. Regardless of when you take heed, Halloween has come to the Nexus.
Neat little handmade signs and fliers of all kinds lead to a particularly festive sectioned off block with the Crossroads Cafe at the center. The brick building has more than its fair share of decorations hung from every available windowsill and door. Hanging skeletons, jolly Jack-O-Lanterns, orange and black streamers cascading down and blowing to and fro in the crisp breeze.
The doors are propped open just waiting to beckon you inside. What are you waiting for?
((See the OOC post if you have any questions! Backtagging and threadhopping are fine. Come on in and have a blast :D ))

It's still every time she looks but.
How strange.

"Next time, I'll do something where my head isn't completely covered." Clara's fin shaped mittens aren't making this any easier, and with the velcro not fastened right she might have to simply hold the apple until she can find someone to help her out of this unwanted bind.
So, those candies are open for stealing!

Scoot, scoot, scooooooooot goes the box.
Except. It's caught on something. Clara's costume conundrum bottom fin has also blocked the table leg from view until now as Nekomata is trying in vain to scoot herself against the obstacle.
The box gives an impatient whine before to golden eyes peer out from the hand hold holes on one side.
"Are you dressed as a humie getting eaten by a fish? Because that's really cool nya..."

And then she goes to bend down, and up goes the tail and maybe anyone else who is standing beside her. She is not sure if she wants to comment on the cleverness of someone dressing up as a box.
"I'm dressed up as a shark. But..." She looks down at her feet that are sticking out of what could be considered the shark's butt. "...That's one way of thinking about it. And I like your costume too. Are you supposed to be a television?" She politely asks the voice in said box.

There's a bit of a wiggle (and a peek of two tails twitching from underneath the box) before the box scoots backwards just enough for it's wielder to pull it off and reveal...!
A cat demon. A cat demon wearing an eye patch around her neck because wearing it in the box was seriously messing her depth perception up.
"Shark's a kind of fish right? Are they tasty?"

She kneels down to get a better look at the box, and she them jumps back and her tail smashes into a bowl of candy that goes flying everywhere. "Oi!" Clara is thinking about heading back to the TARDIS to change into something not so cumbersome.
It isn't that she's looking at a cat demon that got her startled; it was the sudden opening of the box. "As for shark, yes, it is a fish and I never tried eating it before. But there's humans who do eat them, so I suppose they might be tasty."

Nekomata ducks back down into the box at the clattering, only to peek over the edge with a glimmer in her eye at all of the spilled candy on the floor. Sure, candy isn't meat, but it's still free food. Free floor food, but food nonetheless.
She gathers what's near her up and pops a chewy swedish fish into her mouth.
"I wish thyish tashted like real fishes." Oh well, it's fish shaped and that's like halfway to being a fish right? "Mmh. Humies eat lots of things that are super gross too though. But I like fish. I bet I could take a shark."
no subject
She gets a little flush, not as if it can be seen through the costume. "I'm not going to ask what you don't find gross. And you're right, I think you could take on a shark and win."
