1st Annual Halloween Block Party!

Perhaps it's the leaves of fiery golds and oranges drifting on the breeze, or the sight of various hard squash being mangled into festive ornaments, or even still the bowls of candy left out simply everywhere in the Nexus that signifies the import of today. Regardless of when you take heed, Halloween has come to the Nexus.
Neat little handmade signs and fliers of all kinds lead to a particularly festive sectioned off block with the Crossroads Cafe at the center. The brick building has more than its fair share of decorations hung from every available windowsill and door. Hanging skeletons, jolly Jack-O-Lanterns, orange and black streamers cascading down and blowing to and fro in the crisp breeze.
The doors are propped open just waiting to beckon you inside. What are you waiting for?
((See the OOC post if you have any questions! Backtagging and threadhopping are fine. Come on in and have a blast :D ))

Those glasses might be the greatest thing Hughes has ever seen. He grins as he reaches out to take them from Ice Bear and settles them on top of his regular glasses. Does he look ridiculous? Absolutely. Does he care? Not a chance.
"These are great! Thank you. I think they accent the costume perfectly."

What's the best way to get someone to stop talking about you? Do something involving the other person. Namely, Ice has started grabbing some random accessories to go with Hughes's costume. There's a cute little bat that can perched on your shoulder. Some fake vampire teeth. A gaudy-looking gold chain necklace with dollar bill signs on it.
"Be the best vampire you can be. Ice Bear will help." And he's going to start offering all of those accessories to Hughes without warning.
no subject
He excitedly takes all of the accessories and puts them on, grinning like a kid in a candy store when he's got everything in its rightful place.
"How do I look?" Surprisingly, he's able to speak pretty clearly around the fake teeth. Either that or he hasn't hit any slur worthy words.

"Yes. Ice Bear thinks you'll be the life of the party."
no subject
"Thanks for your help, Ice Bear. I really appreciate it."
no subject
Even though no such thing exists, he'll still ask for it. Be grateful, Hughes, he's stopped piling things on you now.
"Not a problem. Everyone should have fun on Halloween. Ice Bear is also the photographer. Will get your photo later."
no subject
...he's gullible when he's excited, okay?"That'd be great! Can you grab some on my phone, too?"
no subject
Don't worry Hughes, Ice won't hold it against anyone. He was partially responsible for some of the party organization and could have suggested the idea himself.
Ice Bear holds out one paw to Hughes silently, as if asking for said phone right now. Better to take a picture before the night gets late and he forgets.
"Sure."
no subject
After handing his phone to Ice Bear, Hughes takes up the classic 'leaning over the victim with the cape held out' pose. It's got the right amount of silly to be laughable, but he's completely serious about this.
"Okay - I'm ready!" Aaaaaand smile!
