1st Annual Halloween Block Party!

Perhaps it's the leaves of fiery golds and oranges drifting on the breeze, or the sight of various hard squash being mangled into festive ornaments, or even still the bowls of candy left out simply everywhere in the Nexus that signifies the import of today. Regardless of when you take heed, Halloween has come to the Nexus.
Neat little handmade signs and fliers of all kinds lead to a particularly festive sectioned off block with the Crossroads Cafe at the center. The brick building has more than its fair share of decorations hung from every available windowsill and door. Hanging skeletons, jolly Jack-O-Lanterns, orange and black streamers cascading down and blowing to and fro in the crisp breeze.
The doors are propped open just waiting to beckon you inside. What are you waiting for?
((See the OOC post if you have any questions! Backtagging and threadhopping are fine. Come on in and have a blast :D ))

"Ice Bear thinks Josh should take it easy for a bit." He pauses, nose itching from the displacement of costumes. The bear walks away and starts picking up costumes from the floor, but suddenly finds his job impeded by a large white sheet which falls from one of the higher shelves. It's a extra tablecloth that wasn't needed during the initial set-up of the cafe.
Ice Bear looks at the fabric, half covering his face, then gets a funny idea. He throws the entire sheet of cloth over his body and walks over to Josh.
"Boo."

Josh opens his mouth. Shuts it. Repeats this process a few times before the decision 'you know what, roll with it' seems to be the wisest. It's something, and the Charlie Brown sheet ghost is an old classic for kids.
"Hold up." Josh rummages around until he finds a pair of scissors. "Bend over a bit, let me just...." He's careful to find where the sheet sits on Ice Bear before he cuts two holes for the bear's ears, and then once it's sitting flat he'll snip out two eye holes.
"How's that?"
no subject
"...Ice Bear is okay with this." And to demonstrate, he spins around on one foot, arms in the air. He's not a very scary ghost, but it's the spirit that counts.
"Is this up to Josh's standards?"
no subject
He can't help but grin as the fabric ruffles up and out with the spin, making Ice bear the largest and flowiest ghost around the Nexus.
"You pull it off, bro. I forgot. White's your color."
no subject
"Ice Bear makes white look good." And he's already moving his arms and paws from beneath the fabric, testing the length and distance, not wanting to tear the costume they've worked so hard on.
"...What made Josh choose to be a Pharaoh?"
no subject
Josh will help finish picking up all the discarded costume bits around the room and putting them away so that the both of them can get out to the party proper and start enjoying themselves with all of their friends.
"It's a character from a movie, actually. Next time you spend the night I'll get Night at the Museum queued up so we can watch it. I look kinda like the Pharoh character, so I thought it would be a good costume."
no subject
But he did learn that white was his color that way, so there was one positive thing about the experience. He starts helping Josh pick up all of the costumes, since it was partially his fault that the wardrobe room got dirty.
"Sure thing. Movie night is Ice Bear's favorite kind of night." He's bobbling around the room, ghost costume and all. "Documentaries are not an accurate representation of Ice Bear's life."
no subject
Josh leads the way out of the coatroom and into the cafe proper so he can get them both a drink and possibly something to eat while they wander the party.
"I like watching 'em when I'm trying to go to sleep. That Attenburough guy could stop a heart attack through soothing monologue alone, I swear. He's so fucking mellow. Plus I love watching the camera work they do on those documentaries. It's a fucking work of art watching them make shots."
no subject
Oops. Somebear doens't know when to shut his mouth and lie. He follows Josh out of the costume room, allowing the teen to lead him wherever.
"Camera work, yes. Accuracy, no. Ice Bear doesn't eat seals." Although the topic at hand gets him thinking about what TV shows he has watched. "What about Joy of Painting? Ice Bear thinks Bob Ross has the most relaxing voice ever."
no subject
Josh has been to the cafe enough times to know more or less where things are kept, and with one of the employees in tow doesn't really see a problem in hopping behind the bar to get them both a drink. Ice Bear is always cooking for Josh, so Josh can take a turn playing bartender for his friend. He's pretty good at it, too.
"Yeah, I didn't think you did. Seal's pretty fatty, for one. I'd think anyway." Let him just get a couple of highball glasses here and he'll get to work. "Is that on Netflix now? I don't think I've seen that show since I was in Elementary school home sick."
no subject
Ice Bear takes a seat in front of the counter, which feels weird, since it's usually him or Katsuya that's on the other side of the wall. A few party-goers are stopping to take pictures with their cellphones, mainly because a giant ghost and Pharaoh are pretty interesting looking. Ice Bear is oblivious to the attention.
"Seals are good friends. Ice Bear played basketball with one once." He nods his head. "Yes. Ice Bear would like to try to paint sometime. What other shows should Ice Bear watch?"
no subject
Was Josh ready for that pun? Perhaps. But he's pretty good at making them up on the fly, too. He's already got ice in each of the glasses to chill them while he finds all of the bottles he needs. Then the ice gets chucked and two very presentable and very strong drinks are prepared for the two of them.
"Yeah? I've never met a seal before." Josh hands over one of the glasses to Ice Bear and keeps the other for himself. Takes a sip from it and gives satisfied hum at the drink. Though, if he catches people taking pictures Josh will flash the most charming grin he can manage.
"I like some of the crime documentaries. Where they look into the real events behind some urban legends and the like. I love looking at history of stories. Real life is so much more messed up than people can put into fiction."
no subject
"Seal was very nice. Ice Bear freed him into the ocean though." He has to adjust the sheet in order to be able to take a drink of his Long Island Ice Tea, but it's worth it, as the bear hums in approval.
"Ice Bear likes indie films or old TV shows. Black and white. Modern shows are very poorly done at times."
no subject
Josh will wander back to the same side of the bar as Ice Bear is and grab a seat for himself. Will even hold onto the sheet if Ice wants to take it off while he enjoys his tasty beverage. What's one more piece of cloth draped over his arms right now? He's got several already.
"What kinds of old shows? Like Are You Being Served, or Andy griffith, or what?"
