1st Annual Halloween Block Party!

Perhaps it's the leaves of fiery golds and oranges drifting on the breeze, or the sight of various hard squash being mangled into festive ornaments, or even still the bowls of candy left out simply everywhere in the Nexus that signifies the import of today. Regardless of when you take heed, Halloween has come to the Nexus.

Neat little handmade signs and fliers of all kinds lead to a particularly festive sectioned off block with the Crossroads Cafe at the center. The brick building has more than its fair share of decorations hung from every available windowsill and door. Hanging skeletons, jolly Jack-O-Lanterns, orange and black streamers cascading down and blowing to and fro in the crisp breeze.

The doors are propped open just waiting to beckon you inside. What are you waiting for?

"So that means you've got to hunt Hughes tonight?" Okay, the grin just got even more appropriate. "Or are you teaming up to hunt vampires together?"

"I do believe I'll need to be watching the intelligence officer extra closely tonight if I'm to perform my costume-sake's duties appropriately."

He gives a pat to the prop guns he has holstered at his waist and offers a conspiratorial wink their direction. Yep, Katsuya's definitely having fun with this.

"Can't have a dangerous vampire running around the party.'

"We're counting on you!" She laughs, and considers Katsuya for a minute. "You know, in our world it's traditional to give people dares to go with their masks, in honor of our dead. Up for a small challenge?"

"I have to admit I'm at least intrigued by the prospect."

He's not the sort to spontaneously agree to things without thinking them through, even under the best of circumstances. It's something Ghost probably wasn't aware people Blaze tended to associate with even had. His hand reaches up automatically to adjust his tinted glasses.

"What does it entail?"

"It's an easy one. Hughes is your prey, so you'd better chase him down and claim a trophy from him. Doesn't count if you ask for it, of course."

[sumarusfinest]

"A trophy."

Well, considering just how many gaudy accessories his friend has added on to his costume, Katsuya doesn't see how that would be too terribly hard. He knows better than to assume anything will be easy when it comes to his own luck, however.

"Alright, I accept."

[rekindledtitan]

"Knew you wouldn't let me down." She chuckles. "You do that, and- heh, guess I'll owe you a prize." No, she didn't think of that first. She'll figure something out. "Good luck, Suou."

She is going to warn Hughes, obviously. It's only sporting.

Oh well, Katsuya is left to scheme on his own then.
