1st Annual Halloween Block Party!

Perhaps it's the leaves of fiery golds and oranges drifting on the breeze, or the sight of various hard squash being mangled into festive ornaments, or even still the bowls of candy left out simply everywhere in the Nexus that signifies the import of today. Regardless of when you take heed, Halloween has come to the Nexus.
Neat little handmade signs and fliers of all kinds lead to a particularly festive sectioned off block with the Crossroads Cafe at the center. The brick building has more than its fair share of decorations hung from every available windowsill and door. Hanging skeletons, jolly Jack-O-Lanterns, orange and black streamers cascading down and blowing to and fro in the crisp breeze.
The doors are propped open just waiting to beckon you inside. What are you waiting for?
((See the OOC post if you have any questions! Backtagging and threadhopping are fine. Come on in and have a blast :D ))

There's been a little girl following the devil around for the past five minutes with a bag of caramel corn in one hand, shoveling handfuls of it into her face while she watches Reynard work.
"I saw the devil once but then I realized it was just Sir Reginald von Bartlesby's mother after a particularly heavy night of drinking."
Pieces of popcorn are littering the dance floor while she follows along. Maybe she'll get bored and leave eventually. Maybe? Probably not.

"She sounds like a charming woman." Straightening he preens at his beard. "Hopefully I'm a little more dashing than she was."

Tina likes to take on exaggerated posh tones every now and then, though it's clear she has neither the attention span or the patience to commit to the voice. She always defaults back to loud, rude, and incredibly too inappropriate for someone her age.
"Oh no contest. You. Is. A pimp. You ain't gotta impress me none though, I get to go home and be like 'Sup Vault Hunters how was your evening? Cool, cool. I got to talk to the Devil' so like I already win by a landslide."

Her last outburst gets a loud bark of a laugh from him, however. "Ha! Looking to make them jealous, hm?" He folds his arms and leans down to her level with a crooked grin and conspiratorial tone. "Would it help your case to dance with him on the day of the dead?"
no subject
"Yeah, Vault Hunters're serious business back home. I gotta make sure they know I'm just as badass as they are in my own way ya feel me D-Man?"
His offer makes her eyes go as wide as saucers and she all but throws the bag of popcorn behind her shoulder and holds out her hand up to him to take. Sorry if it's a little bit sticky, caramel corn does that.

Ah but to make a person's eyes light up like that! Reynard beams and takes the hand (with a silent wish for his absent gloves)and swings her into the dance floor. Because the tune on offer is all about swinging, jumping and stamping.
Oooooh good choice!
It takes Tina a few moments to pick up on how the dance is supposed to go, but she makes up for it in manic energy that can keep pace with any beat. And she can jump and stamp with the best of them.
She'll consider it a victory if she doesn't trip over herself and faceplant in front of the devil.
<3!
He takes her hand now and then to spin her around on the spot, or take both her hands to swing her about. If she's up for it, of course. Though it doesn't look like she's in the habit of holding back that won't stop Reynard from silently looking out for anything that might hurt her. Including overenthusiastic dancing.

And when the song reaches its conclusion, Tina is still grinning huge and laughing, despite having to catch her breath.
"You is one badass devil. That was so, so much fun!"

He flourishes a bow and sets his hands on his hips when he straightens. "And you, my dear, are a devilish fiend! That was a delight." Just... give him a minute before the next one.
no subject
"Imma get that tattooed on my back in Old English Font one day. 'The devil says I'm a fiend'."

She holds her hand out for Reynard to take once again and pulls herself up once he takes hold of it to steady her. The moment to catch her breath seems to have worked because she's already on tippy toe looking around at all the adults in their costumes.
"Where to?"

Tina hops a few times from foot to foot while she ponders the possibilities of punch preference. Her eyes light up after a moment though and she grins.
"Dayum son they got hot chocolate? I am all up on some of that. Gimme gimme gimme dat. Please? Please pretty please?"
no subject
Onto the matter of hot chocolate, though. They approach the bar and he winks at her. "How about 'death by chocolate'?" Turning to the server he leans on the bar. "Two hot chocolates with extra chocolate, a few marshmallows, more chocolate, cream, and some chocolate sprinkles."
no subject
"I gots ta go on more dates with the devil, I swear! That drink sounds divine D-Man. I guess when you're in charge downstairs people know better than to say 'no' to yas."
no subject
With the hot chocolates slid in front of them, Reynard hands Tina hers. "And who could resist a luxurious hot chocolate?"
no subject
"Get in mah belly chocolatey goodness." After she blows on it, careful not to dislodge any sprinkles. She's not a heathen.
"Diabetics and people who are wrong. Other than that, I got nothing, yo."

Literally. Well, until Lilith got all pissy about something called nutrition and how Tina was gonna kill herself and blah blah blah. She still mostly eats crumpets but now she has the occasional whatever Lillith brings and makes her eat while staring all scary at her.
