1st Annual Halloween Block Party!

Perhaps it's the leaves of fiery golds and oranges drifting on the breeze, or the sight of various hard squash being mangled into festive ornaments, or even still the bowls of candy left out simply everywhere in the Nexus that signifies the import of today. Regardless of when you take heed, Halloween has come to the Nexus.

Neat little handmade signs and fliers of all kinds lead to a particularly festive sectioned off block with the Crossroads Cafe at the center. The brick building has more than its fair share of decorations hung from every available windowsill and door. Hanging skeletons, jolly Jack-O-Lanterns, orange and black streamers cascading down and blowing to and fro in the crisp breeze.

The doors are propped open just waiting to beckon you inside. What are you waiting for?

"Today is supposed to be a celebration. A party. You don't have to talk about things that upset you if you don't want to."

She recognizes the look on this man's face when he reminisces. It's reason enough to offer him an out if he wants one. Especially considering how curious she is about this Incident. If she doesn't give him one now, she probably wouldn't at all.

Vaclav gets up from his seat and he takes a look around the party and he nods his head. "Yes, I'd rather focus on the party than the troubles back home." There's no point in ruining a good time, and talk about bad times can take place another day.

"Name's Vaclav Koller, and I don't believe I got your name." He reaches a hand to rub the back of his neck. And he looks over in the direction of the dance floor. "And if we're to enjoy this celebration, perhaps you would like a drink or two."

"Natasha Romanov." She says simply. "Nice to meet you."

She'll follow his gaze out to the dance floor briefly before her gaze falls back on him instead. For better or for worse. She has a rather intense face, even when resting.

"The bar's fully stocked. I'm pretty sure we'll be able to find something."

[zombots]

"Och-en pree-yat-na..." Valcav says, with a great amount of enthusiasm and he does hope she understood him. "...Natasha!" His dealings with the Russian underworld have made knowing and understanding Russian very important.

"I already figured that much out, who would throw a party like this without having some good drinks."

The smile and slight bow of her head, not to mention the response, shows that he's both said it correctly and she's understood. Despite her name, Natasha seems very very good at adapting her accent to fit the language she's speaking. She must have a lot of practice with that sort of thing.

"Shall we see what there is to offer?" She moves to get back to her feet before holding a hand out for Vaclav.
