1st Annual Halloween Block Party!

Perhaps it's the leaves of fiery golds and oranges drifting on the breeze, or the sight of various hard squash being mangled into festive ornaments, or even still the bowls of candy left out simply everywhere in the Nexus that signifies the import of today. Regardless of when you take heed, Halloween has come to the Nexus.

Neat little handmade signs and fliers of all kinds lead to a particularly festive sectioned off block with the Crossroads Cafe at the center. The brick building has more than its fair share of decorations hung from every available windowsill and door. Hanging skeletons, jolly Jack-O-Lanterns, orange and black streamers cascading down and blowing to and fro in the crisp breeze.

The doors are propped open just waiting to beckon you inside. What are you waiting for?

The sheer number of sequins on her costume means that Natasha is glittering in the dim light as she dances alongside him. Her hair a constant flow of fiery red. But she stays close to Rosco, never wandering out of hearing range of him while they move.

"Nearly a year now, off and on."

Rosco is definitely noticing. He smiles at her, nodding.

"That's a pretty long time. Do you live here or just visit?"

He understood, of course. He had never thought he would leave Hazzard. There was so much to the Nexus though! He couldn't help being a bit surprised.

"I stay here more than I used to. Guess I'm making more friends than I planned on."

It's not the truth, not all of it at least, but it's not a lie either. Though Natasha tells enough of both that it's really a crapshoot if she's serious or not. She pauses after the next song is done to fetch her beer and take another sip from it.

"What about yourself?"

"Well, that's good, though. It's important to have friends," Rosco says. It's one of the reasons he prefers here to home. "Oh, I'm staying and only going back to visit. I like it here and I guess I've made some friends. I've met a lot of people who seem like good folk, anyways."
