1st Annual Halloween Block Party!

Perhaps it's the leaves of fiery golds and oranges drifting on the breeze, or the sight of various hard squash being mangled into festive ornaments, or even still the bowls of candy left out simply everywhere in the Nexus that signifies the import of today. Regardless of when you take heed, Halloween has come to the Nexus.

Neat little handmade signs and fliers of all kinds lead to a particularly festive sectioned off block with the Crossroads Cafe at the center. The brick building has more than its fair share of decorations hung from every available windowsill and door. Hanging skeletons, jolly Jack-O-Lanterns, orange and black streamers cascading down and blowing to and fro in the crisp breeze.

The doors are propped open just waiting to beckon you inside. What are you waiting for?

Castiel squints an eye as he tries to figure out what Tina means by 'representing from Pandora'. He uhs, and he goes to lift the silly mask off and he puts it down on the table besides him.

"I'm just representing," Castiel is completely deadpan and while he's great with sharp objects. He just never took a knife or any dangerous item to a pumpkin before. Maybe they're not all that different from angels or demons who have wanted to kill him.

But he does indeed lean over to watch. "Doesn't Peter Pumpkin need a shot of whiskey? I mean that's how they operate on people in the movies."

Pumpkins--as well as many hard squashes-- offer quite a bit more resistance than flesh. Of course, that is using human flesh for a guideline. Your results may vary when operating on demons and angels.

"We ain't even carved him a mouth yet to take it. Gotta scoop 'im out first." Tina grunts as she explains, clearly working hard to get the knife all the way around the pumpkin evenly.

Castiel hasn't had to carve faces into angels and demons, so this is very different. And he can't help but to grimace as he watches the poor squash get cut into. It might be just a plant, but he feels bad for what is happening to the pumpkin.

"Or you could try to knock him out."

"How do you knock out a dude who ain't even awake? Pumpkins aren't conscious last i checked. Otherwise I owe someone a helluva'n apology for eatin' it's babies roasted and toasted. M-MMM I love me some roasted pumpkin seeds."

With the lid made, Tina reaches into the squash and begins pulling out it's insides with her hands. What are spoons? This way is much more fun. And messy, which means fun, by the by.
