A Young Hylian
Not much to see here.
Just a ten-year-old boy, dressed in a green tunic, sword and shield strapped to his back. Despite being armed, he's smiling pleasantly whenever someone makes eye-contact, and gawking at the sights like any other kid. It's obvious he has no ill-intentions.
After meandering around for a while, the boy sits down on a bench and drinks milk from a glass bottle. When he feels a little more comfortable, he asks a question.
"Have you seen a fairy around here?"

"Have you seen a fairy around here?"

"I don't think so," she answers. "What does it look like?"

Link put his empty bottle in a pouch on his belt, and smiled politely.
"She's hard to miss."

"Nope, I'm not lost. I'm just someplace new. I'm--not sure what this place is called, but..." He rubbed his neck and grinned a little ruefully. "My name's Link."

"Ah! I guess Navi's probably not here---or anyone else from Hyrule, I suppose. It's nice to meet you too, Adia."
He glanced in the direction he came, and nodded. Easy enough to find his way back. Nothing to worry about there.

Specifically a certain princess, but, he wouldn't mind seeing Malon or Saria either.

"I guess as long as it's Hyrule."

"Hyrule is amazing! It's beautiful! There's fields, mountains, forests, and a lake---there's villages and Hyrule castle---and the people are wonderful! Besides Hylians, there's the Zora, and the Gorons, and the Kokiri---it's the best. I'm going to be a Knight someday and help keep everyone safe forever."

Link hesitated. "I was a hero, but, I got sent back in time, and no one remembers it but me and Navi. I carry a sword and shield because I'm a decent swordsman and I try to train people when I can."

She wanders over towards the bench with a cup of hot cocoa in her hand, and she kneels down to Link's level. "Don't believe I've seen any fairies here. But from what I've heard this place is pretty special."

Clara figures there are other fairies who call this Nexus place home. But she still has to the address the bigger issue of a child wandering around without a parent or an adult.
"What about you? This place is awfully big, and you look a bit young to be out here by yourself."
no subject
Link felt sheepish at her concern. He was just a child, but, he wasn't sure how to react when treated like one sometimes. Partially because he had been through so much, and partially because so few people treated him his age.
"Oh, I'm fine. Don't worry about me," he laughed.
no subject
Clara takes another sip of her drink, and she points a finger towards the bench. "May I?" And even if she put faith in The Doctor when it came to the children previously under her charge, she knows that the world is full of dangers but it is still worth exploring. But still she's concerned about the kid.
"This place is pretty big, and even with this anti violence field, I still would feel awkward about not worrying about you." She offers Link a warm and friendly smile. "It's just the teacher in me, that's all."
no subject
"I'm pretty good with a sword," Link replied cheerfully, trying to reassure her, not realizing that most people were not comforted by a ten-year-old proclaiming competency with weapons.
"What do you teach? I've never been to school before. My friend Saria taught me to read and I can write my name."
no subject
"Oh, that's good to know!" She responds with her own cheerful voice, and she places her hands on her knees. "I teach English." Clara sounds proud, and she takes in Link's clothing and his appearance a little more.
"Do you like reading?" She sounds curious, as she tilts her head to the side. "Because, if you do I heard there is a gigantic library here in the Nexus."
no subject
"I sure ain't but I would so be up for catching one. I don't think I've never seen a fairy before, kid."
no subject
"Oh, man, she would hate it if someone tried to catch her. But, um, if there's healing fairies, those are fair game. You'd need a bottle to put them in, though."
He tried to picture the chewing out that would occur if someone tried to put Navi in a bottle, and despite himself ended up grinning again.

Tina's a mess of scraped knees, patched up clothes, and bright semi wild eyes. She grins toward the other kid's way.
"Whats she look like?"
no subject
He grinned back at her.

Candela is just walking around the Nexus today, needing some extra space from other adults, so seeing Link's young face is refreshing. She doesn't take a seat next to him yet, just stands a respectful distance away.
"I can help you search, if you'd like."
no subject
He smiled cheerfully. "I'd appreciate help, sure!"
no subject
"I'm Candela. It's a pleasure to meet you." She gives Link a friendly smile, while extending one hand to him for a shake. "...So, is there a trick to finding fairies? Do they like certain places or things?"
no subject
Youth, linear time progression this one began and the one before it also began, there was a time before this small one just as there was time before it.
Looming towards the boy in green with a slow and possibly threatening certainty it dripped thick globs of sticky pink hair clumps onto the floor of the plaza as it moved to answer, to converse, to know more.
"INFORM, WHAT IS "FAIRY"?"
The voice, if it can be called that, was loud in the sense that it shot to the front of the mind, almost as unable to be ignored as a church bell ringing next door.
no subject
"A fairy's a magical creature with wings. They can be guides and friends...they're small."
He held his hands a little ways apart.
no subject
"EXPLAIN "MAGICAL"!"
It boomed into the boys head.
no subject
"Could ya tone it down just a bit?"
Rubbing his temples, he explained, "Magic...magic is magic. You change things with your will, or because you've received a blessing."
no subject
It had no working concept of what desire or motive was. Steadily it floated on the spot, attempting to bring its understanding closer to the boys.
"FAIRY IS COMPANION."
It did not understand the idea of communication at a less jarring level but this message was conveyed slower.
