On the Subject of the Green Skinned Space Family
Let's be honest. Delia's not that unusual of a sight in the Nexus these days. Hell, she's not even that strange or unique, what with people of all sorts of varying unique appearances, skintones, and so on.
A green skinned woman in a simple sundress and sandals doesn't really stand out that much, even with the fact that she's got an eyepatch.
Next to her is her usual heavy leather bag, and in her hands is a datapad about the size of your average tablet, with her tapping the screen on occasion as she pages through whatever she's reading.
Then she sighs, "So here's a question that's not related to anything at the moment--how important is family to you? Does anyone buck the trend in yours?"
Frown, then she thoughtfully adds, "Do you get along with them at all?"

"Family can be hella important to survival, mya." Neko stretches from where she's been laying atop a nearby wall, soaking in the sunbeams of this lovely late summer day. "Me and my sisters always banded together back in our world. It was either that or risk being eaten, nya."
Though her tails curl in interest as she hops down form her perch.
"I guess you could say I'm the one who bucks the trend. Choosing to work and survive in the human world instead of with the rest of them."

"Given the nature of this place, I have a feeling I'm going to meet a lot of people who buck the usual trend in their families." Delia shrugged, but continued, "Do you get along with your sisters, or do they look down on you for you, ahem, choice in career?"

Mrs. Olive Skinned Beauty makes a pretty good point. Someone's ears are perking right up with the statement. She never gave a whole lot of thought to what the humies who clog up the joint are like, aside from her own personal friends.
her head tilts from side to side as she considers the question.
"Mmm, I don't see them too much since I made the change. They didn't give me a hard time about it though nya. They can't do it, so in a lot of ways I'm the most qualified for the job. Most of our kind would rather eat a human than work with 'em."

Neko gives a shrug of her shoulders as if it's not that big of a deal and tosses her dark hair back before leaning against the wall she'd been lounging atop of earlier.
"Unless it was a fishman." Excuse her daydream inducing drool, it only lasts a moment. "But yeah. Demons eat people the same way people eat cow. Just a fact of life." Their butchers shops leave something to be desired though. In that there aren't any and demons tend to be raw food advocates who eat with their hands.
