On the Subject of the Green Skinned Space Family
Let's be honest. Delia's not that unusual of a sight in the Nexus these days. Hell, she's not even that strange or unique, what with people of all sorts of varying unique appearances, skintones, and so on.
A green skinned woman in a simple sundress and sandals doesn't really stand out that much, even with the fact that she's got an eyepatch.
Next to her is her usual heavy leather bag, and in her hands is a datapad about the size of your average tablet, with her tapping the screen on occasion as she pages through whatever she's reading.
Then she sighs, "So here's a question that's not related to anything at the moment--how important is family to you? Does anyone buck the trend in yours?"
Frown, then she thoughtfully adds, "Do you get along with them at all?"

"Odds are low they're gonna do that in a way that's not already in the personality template they got. Especially since the longer you live, the more quirks and unique traits you're gonna accumulate. Which are bad and you have to go in to get the template reapplied. And physical evolution? That guy goes RIGHT into the recycling bin. Like, instantly."
Shark holds up one finger as he continues. "And as far as devious goes, sometimes certain sectors try to cut corners and make new workforces pulling DNA from existing clones rather than using the CEO's samples directly. Which we call re-clones, and we're discouraged from doing because they have a tendency to degrade, get the shakes or go full postal and start killing everyone. So if anything, just goes to show you shouldn't try and fix what ain't broke."

Admittedly, she's curious, and you can't blame her for being so: Constantly creating copies runs greater and greater risk of failure, after all.
