Okay first off, this place so didn't look like the dig she had been on in the middle of the Pacific. Which would explain why Taylor has a mud streak in her dark hair, and on her clothes. Though she brushes herself off mostly to try to look presentable.
After a moment she gives up, after all at least it's only mud and not blood or any thing else. Though her bare arms, show she's not unused to rough landings, coral hurts if you hit it in a bailout after all.
"This so isn't Rapa Nui, so. Would it be a bother to ask two things? Well three. Who is the Kahuna in charge? And where are we?" Yes she slipped into surf slang only because so far, she doesn't see professor types around and she really had been looking forward to getting the job done and testing some of the waves before she crashed for the night. Of course, it's hit or miss lately if she gets surf time.

"Oh..ello do you need some..assit-?" She pads over and begins to ask, before listening raptly. "Ah.." She tilts her head a wee bit at the new word. "Um, that's correct miss?" She half confirms half prompts warmly in a friendly tone.
"Ah, well that's a mite complicated. Depends on what needs doing really. " Se starts to try and explain. She brightens a bit at the last. "Now there's something I know a bit more about..This is the Nexus Realm between worlds..sort of like a hub in a multiversal train or bus station." She murmurs trying to hopefully give some familiar context to an unfamiliar situation.
She then smiles sheepishly but warm, "Oh pardon, " She murmurs offering her gloved hand. "I'm Ashlynn, Mrs. Ashlynn Aalish SinClair, but most folks call me Ash." She introduced herself.

"So, no big boss? In a way, that's kinda comfortin'." She was trying to reign in her accent, though if she slipped back sorry. "And now, I'm not sure if I'm relieved or disappointed that I didn't end up somehow on Mu. I mean, would have been cool to find the lost continent in the Pacific Ocean." She shrugged it off.
At the offered hand Taylor shook it. "I'm Taylor, Tay or Minnow are fine too. Nice to meet you Ash."

"Ah, not like ya know officially least in these parts..There are plenty of folks I would..ahem just give ya know proper mannerly respect to cause there are some high-ranked and powerful folks who come through or plant themselves in certain areas. But most are usually pretty friendly on the whole." She gently informs and warns her. Not wanting her to get on anyone's bad side accidentally.
She then adds, "And also like the Wilds are called such for a reason." Thinking about what other information would be good for her to have a heads up on. Regardless if she'd seen Cap's PSA or mayhaps not any of the literature yet. She glances about to see if she can spot any.
She smiles warmly and slightly shrugs nonchalantly and friendly, when she gets slightly emotional or homesick her own lit comes out from time to time. Though it's likely to sound more Irish or Welsh to some.
She blinks and tilts her head slightly to the right again, "Oh? that's an interesting name." She did enjoy learning about new places and peoples and such. Or least new to herself. Her eyebrows go up, Pacific, interesting. very interesting. "Ahem so..is that more the Poleniesian area or..am I a bit off?" She asks trying not to offend. Just trying to place things near things she had some sort of reference point of.
Probably not looking for someplace like Atlantis? Right wrong Terrain unless there were some new facts/other theories. Or The Mysterious Island.
She grins warmly, "Ooh, lovely name..erm names." She murmurs pleasantly surprised, "And likewise, dear." She murmurs with a happy squint as she gently shakes back. Almost canine-like. Her left ear wiggles a bit happily.

Taylor caught it, but thought it was some sort of cartoon PSA, after all, her world, he's a comic book character, one that her 'uncle' used to give her when he stopped by for a visit. She preferred the ones with a little more adventure than action honestly.
"Which? Mu? It's a legend, though I'm not sure if it really exists, I just like not having to be around the guy that raised me."
It's close, though Taylor is only on the search because her guardian wants her to be on it. Something about wanting an artifact for his order. She's still debating if she wants to screw him over honestly.
"It's because I'm usually one of the smallest out on the waves." She grinned.

She chuckles softly but warm, "Well, least that's one less thing for ya to get used to." She murmurs conversationally. Though there were sometimes even things that could throw even the most seasoned of folks for a loop.
"Ah, aye." She murmurs looks thoughtful and then nods. Trying her hardest not to the chant or try the word for herself a few times. "Oh? so ..kinda like Altantis..or more point of origin or something?" She asks curiously and conversationally. "Many legends have some grain of truth in them I find." Especially in a place like this or back in her own Homerealm.
"Ah." She murmurs a wee bit a look and tone of understanding moving across her face. "Space to grow and such can be beneficial sometimes, yes." She murmurs or to recharge.
She chuckles good-naturedly and gives her a slightly lopsided toothy smile. "And you swim like a fish ?" She half asks half states, "My husband's a bit of a water bug himself." She murmurs fondly and lovingly.

"From what we can figure was like Atlantis, less technological. More of an agricultural society, but other than a few vague scribbles in ancient texts and sketches from sea faring people that are mostly water damaged, it's a shot in the dark if the place actually exists or not."
"Was born in the water so it's part of me. Much to the dismay of my found family at times." She beamed brightly.

"We are quite far from Easter Island." He confirms and then smiles at her slow asking of question. "This is the Nexus. Your other question is... complicated here."
How to explain this all respectfully and with enough information to get her on the right track. "There is no one person in charge here, though you will find some groups have leadership present here. My own species has the full court here though we do not rule over the others here."
no subject
"Sounds like this place might be a little more interesting than the crew I was working with at the dig." She gave a grin, the guy looked a little odd, but Hell she'd seen weird in some of her dig sites. The one in the Yucatan with the winged snake was up there. "Guessing, Angel, not Fairy?"
no subject
It was a reasonable question after the people he had met in the Nexus. The book gets set aside. It's leather bound in red with a title that is unreadable unless someone is familiar with Enochian script.
"It is a fascinating place though not all that live in this place are friendly." He thought about out in the wilds where his kind were reasonably safe but a human may not always be.
"Yes, I am a seraphim." He shifted while considering standing but did not yet. He would have been amused if she mentioned Quetzalcoatl. Even so he smiles. "I am Lucifer Morningstar. Yes, that one and no, I am fairly certain I am not the one from your creation."
His tone is full of a jovial and friendly amusement as he address the thoughts and questions that come most of the time. For any mythology, the king is friendly, particularly with humans.

"I'm not afraid of a little danger. Adrenaline junkie here, prefer it the natural way."
"I'm not a follower of that cult honestly." She chuckled, "No offense. Though I have read that book and remember that story." She tucked hair from her face. "I'm Taylor Lin."
"So, any questions about it you'd rather not answer? Historian by profession, and I love a good story about people who buck the system." Her smile stayed, she was going to just roll with the flow, seemed easier until she figured things out.

"Much of this place has an anti-violence magic on it, but in the places where it fades there are things that are dangerous in a way that I would suggest avoiding for survival." He didn't mention that one of his own angels was part of the problem.
"I do not subscribe to it either though I am hopelessly entangled in its mythology." Lucifer chuckled and relaxed where he was sitting. "The book barely mentions me."
"It is a pleasure." Lucifer nods very slightly in recognition. "I do not mind the questions but you should ask if you are prepared for the answers to them from a being that is incapable of shying away from the truth."
no subject
"Thanks for the head's up. I'll be careful." The 'magic' bit makes her think it's just some tech that isn't understood yet. Luckily she's not one to mess with tech on purpose.
"There's enough from what I remember, though none of it was good. It didn't really paint a good picture for most women either." She remembered that too, which was part of the reason why she told her 'uncle' she'd pass on going to services, gave her more time to explore the jungle on the islands.
She thought a few moments. "I'll keep it in mind."

He's been wandering about like he does in the Nexus sometimes, just watching things. So he's not at his full height of ten metres; it's more like two, which if he were human, would make him very tall, but not impossibly so. The way he speaks is rather cultured, even when his language is casual.
(That said, he is still a big robot with glowing red eyes, engraved scrollwork all over his upper chest, and some kind of cannon or gun affixed to his back, and if the cartoons exist in her universe, the sight of him might be pretty hilarious.)

"So, I've heard from Ash and Lucifer." She recovered from her shock, and realized she was being rude staring. "Sorry, just... what are you?"
(ooc: I'm giggling I know who the character is, and have a G1 Boombox complaining loudly.)

Humans are people. He's accepted this, albeit grudgingly at first. Some of them are even people he likes.
They're still very odd.
"I'm not sure I've met Ash; I've met Lucifer, though. Lucifer is not in charge of the Nexus. I think he's in charge of the angels who live here, though. I still don't really understand how the angels work."
So far as he can tell, the angels have divine powers but aren't gods themselves. That makes them sound like Primes, but there are a lot more angels than there are Primes, and most of them aren't really obnoxious enough to be Primes. He actually likes some of them. Whereas one of the Primes actually used to be a friend of his and still became a complete afthelm after becoming a Prime.
"I am actually not in charge of anything either--at least, not here. I'm retired; I moved here because I met someone here. How did you get here?"
[Which boombox? Blaster or Sounders? We already have 2 Soundwaves in the Nexus. One of them is mine and IDW (like my Megatron and Ravage and my other cons) and the other one is from the TFP and extremely spooky. A G1 Soundwave would add delightfully to the confusion, LOL.
This Megatron is IDW Megatron post-abdication and redemption arc. He is actually in the Nexus primarily because he's in love with one of the Lokis.]

"I just arrived? I think I may have taken a wrong turn in the ruins I was exploring and instead of getting back to camp, here I am."
[G1 Blaster, as in talks in rhymes and all the 80's corniness that came with G1. Seeing the 'bots around that I have. I think his poor little brain would be broken. which means I should throw him in at some point right?]

"We're all machines," he says. "Self-replicating, intelligent machines. The human body is made of organic nanomachines working together, just as the mechanoid body is. Although the human process of self-replication is a lot less complex than the Cybertronian processes are."
He considers what she's told him. "Usually new arrivals end up in the Plaza, with a bit more information than you seem to have got. I also arrived in an unorthodox manner. My partner, Loki, lives here, and he invited me to visit him here shortly after we met, but before we became spark-mates. You're in the Nexus. I don't understand interdimensional physics very well, because I'm not a scientist. But I am told, by reliable sources, that we are in a place between universes. If you really want to understand how that works I would recommend discussing it with the angels, or with Dr Stanford Pines, when he comes to shop and to visit his friends."
This is probably not the kind of information Taylor is looking for.
"Anyhow. You've stumbled further afield than you ever meant to. You're not on the planet your camp is on. We can get you some pamphlets and a PINpoint card in the city. I'd show you my PINpoint but it's integrated with my systems. It functions like a 'credit card' or a 'smart phone', in some ways. You can probably use it to get home, once you figure out where home is, in relation to here. Unless you decide that you want to stay."
He shrugs. "I was on my way back anyway. Would you like me to accompany you to the PINpoint machines and pamphlet distributories? As I said before, I'm retired. It's no trouble. Someone might worry if I don't get back before any of the children come home, but I'm not usually left alone with them, so Mrs Hedgeworthy will be there. I love the children...but I don't quite understand how organic chlidren function."
[PLEASE. Most of the Transformers here are from IDW or TFP. We do have a G1 Ghost Starscream. He's hilarious.
My character Rosanna works for Blaster and would be very relieved to see a Blaster again even if he's not her Blaster. There is a severe Autobot/Decepticon imbalance in the Nexus, and this is mostly my fault, because I play about 10 Decepticons, one civilian Autobot--the popstar Rosanna--and one (1) "redeemed" Megatron Autobot. There's about 5 people here that I know play bots, but I'm the only one that plays mostly bots except for a few Gravity Falls canon characters and OCs. People have jokingly suggested that I should play more Autobots but I am just always more drawn to the 'cons.
Also, just because this is cool: Nanobot.]

"I, may have missed some of it, only because I tend to explore if I went through the plaza it may have been early in my exploration." The Loki bit caused her to look up. "Norse Mythology? I mean it wouldn't surprise me met Lucifer earlier after all and on my world he's from a religious mythos as well."
"I'm Human from Earth, and well, I'm willing to go back and forth if I can, this place seems more of an adventure than anywhere on my world." She nodded. "Thanks, I would probably wonder into the wilds that Lucifer warned me not to go into."
[We'll see, I just started a new project and well, I'm not sure how much of my life it's going to take from me. but if I can wake the boombox up I will.]

Not a Sifa, but skekSa knows the rough, muddied look well, and it's a look she likes. This newcomer already has the skeksis's favor. She hopes the sight of a large avian doesn't look too intimidating, especially given the cutlass she carries. The Lord Mariner looks every bit the pirate with her blades and gold piercings.
"And you're in the Nexus, lass. You may call me Captain skekSa, Lord Mariner."

No ulterior motives here, certainly. Coyote bares his teeth in a pleasant smile, his ears perked forward attentively.
