+1 Doctor
The Doctor arrives in the Nexus. And he's not sure how he got here. Not that it matters. He has no TARDIS and no memories of Clara. All he has are the clothes on his back, his sonic specks, and his trusty guitar. Okay, he has a little rucksack filled with a change of clothes and other odds and ends that he's collected on his quest.
He looks around and this place looks... rather American, considering. Of course, everything looked American to him these days, he's spent far too long in the States looking first for the TARDIS and then for Clara. He so far has been unsuccessful at both.
"Excuse me, has anyone seen someone called Clara?"
{{OOC: The Doctor's Canonpoint will be in flux until I figure out which one is best for this setting. I'll make it clear in his threads.}}

He fingered the Ocarina of Time as he spoke, tracing the Triforce design.

Time Lord, there's a huge difference to him. He was older when he was younger and younger when he was older... until now. Now... he's just old. That's depressing.

Link rubbed his head. "Sorry, I know that sounds weird."
Don't get him started on Termina. Three days over and over and over...

Sort of... except for the past two-hundred billion and something. Where he actually died. They could swap closed-energy loop stories. The Doctor would probably win. (Even though it's not a competition.)
"If it were me, I'd forget the faery and stick with the princess."
He's clearly met some faeries in his day.
no subject
"They're both my friends. Navi helped me so much! I don't think I could have succeeded without her." Link had trouble keeping friends. Most were sacred sages, ruler of Hyrule, or they vanished.
no subject
And well, he doesn't think Link will understand, so he stops.
"Well, faeries can be very helpful, of course. But that doesn't mean that they're better than princesses."

The Doctor had tried to change the subject. He must be losing his touch.
"I thought we had established that you can't help me, since I can't tell you any more than her name."

He breaks off. He's sure he's said that to someone before. Someone important. He can't place it though. The pause is brief. He's used to encountering these 'Clara-shaped holes'.
"I never trust anyone who so flippantly admits to being a hero."
no subject
How many times had he had to prove himself? Link had lost count by this point.
"I'm not bragging. It's what the sages called me. Older-Zelda said I should have a childhood, but, I'm not very good at it. I keep finding people who need my help. I...like helping people."
no subject
"Do you seek them out, or do they seek you out?"
Because, these days, the Doctor is still sought, even though he deleted himself from history as much as he could.
no subject
I don't always look for people, but, I seem to find them. In Hyrule they'd seek me out a little, but, in Termina that was all...chance. They needed me..."
Link rocked on his heels and scuffed his boots like any other little boy while he spoke.
no subject
Shifting attention from himself again, because deflection is a good thing.
no subject
Link didn't know if there was a difference in his thinking when he was "older" or not.
no subject
To be fair, most things new or different are interesting to the Doctor.
no subject
Link scratched his ear. "But, Zelda gave me that time back after we defeated Ganondorf."
no subject
Because he's a Time Lord and even he can't do that.
no subject
Short answer: Magic.
no subject
Because Time is his thing. Why would anyone mess with the fabric of time?
no subject
He'd play to demonstrate, but he didn't know if it would work here.
no subject
All these foreign names. He's not in the states now. Where had he ended up. And why?
no subject
Link was glad he had found someone who believed him.
no subject
Okay, he can work with that. He's done all sorts of travelling.
"So... how did you end up here?"
Wherever 'here' is....
no subject
Link smiled a little.
