Wisdom begins in Wonder
She headed toward what looked to be a large building akin to something from back home, It was both an impressive and slightly comforting sight.
She scanned the area with her eyes, ears and other senses. Trying to make sure she was in the right place as she headed toward the stone steps. As well as keeping her eyes open for any hint or sign of her missing friend or any one who might know more about the nexus or other things of necessity and importance. Another part of her wondered if they might have a snack bar or vending machine that took the money she had on her as her tummy rumbled softly as she neared the large doors.
She wondered if there were a place for missing posters, and looked around for one as she cautiously looked around after poking her head in, looking for a desk of some sort. "Ahem, excuse me, but I was wondering if there was a form or something to apply for a library card? " She half asks a bit rambly and nervous all of a sudden. She wasn't exactly sure why but she was worried for Sherlock and was in need of some information and uncertain about where and when to get things in this ever shifting environment.

Her eyebrows go up, "Er um thank you. " She sniffs and scans the bottles though checking to make sure there still good and just orange juice.
no subject
"You may have them both," he says as he uses one spindly finger to nudge the second bottle closer to her.

She softly opens the one and turns half away to take a small sip hoping to take the edge off till she could get something more substantial. Recapping the juice but keeping the one in her hand with a soft sigh.

Oh! But that reminds him! He looks forward again though the book gap at Ashlynn. "If you need to eat, perhaps I can bring you to the Kin? He feeds ME."

Check she lived in Maine, for longer technically now. Lawd.
"Oh,.. Um what's this kin person like?" She asks softly. A little shy, wary and uncertain. After all she didn't want to impose or run into trouble. She rubbed the back of her head

"I am sure if I took you to him, he would secure what you need. He says he is a priest for his people and therefore is very invested in helping others." Though he hopes if he does this, Abysa won't try and make HIM eat too. He did it this morning; that's enough, right?

Her ears perk p at that 'priest' thing. She knew some folks in similar lines of work. Mayhaps they would get along she'd hope so she rather liked learning about new places and peoples. She missed being able to travel in truth more then just in dreams. That poem by Tennyson came to mind. She was, more than half 'sick of shadows.'

"I'm certain he will be able to help you. He is very good at helping. Follow, follow!" Micolash gestures for Ashlynn to keep in step with him without stopping his stride.
By the time he's out into the foyer, the robot librarian has gotten all the books back onto the cart and pushed over to where they belong, which is the returns desk. The second it spots that cage, though, it looks up, ear panels quivering. Micolash ignores the bot, but it doesn't stop it from doing the universal 'I'm watching you' gesture; pointing two fingers at its optics, then at Micolash.

The tip of her tail wagging under her coat, as she half goes on alert ready to try and herd him if need be. "lovely, yes yes coming." She states quickly and slightly excited even as she pads after him warily. Ready to stick to him like glue if need be.
She gives the robot a small smile and softly promises, "I'll be back." And then angles her head down and focuses on her temporary charge. And after a after a movement mannerly offers him her arm. "Shall we good sir?" She asks warmly a slightly playful lit in her eyes.
She didn't often have to break out the old world formal manners now a days but she still remembered how and tried to keep in practice.

"We are going to transpose ourselves there. The Kin is secretive of where he resides. It is nothing to be alarmed about." As he says that, Micolash fumbles with the cuff of one of sleeves, pulling back the right one (the one Ashlynn's got a hold on) to expose a bracelet around his wrist! It looks to be woven from some manner of black plant matter, like hemp, and sports a single deep violet bead etched with symbols.
"I hope you are ready." Not that he waits. Micolash immediately pinches that bead between thumb and forefinger of his other hand and gives it a twist. There is a flash of purple magic and the odd pair vanish.

She tilts her head, studying and scanning the item softly. Well that was pretty and practical. She squints trying to see if she can recognize any of the symbols or not.
"As I'll ever be." She murmers and braces herself hoping this mode of transportation wasn't like apateteing, porting she was used to. Her hair poofs up a little as she shivers and holds on gentle but firm.
