Wisdom begins in Wonder
She headed toward what looked to be a large building akin to something from back home, It was both an impressive and slightly comforting sight.
She scanned the area with her eyes, ears and other senses. Trying to make sure she was in the right place as she headed toward the stone steps. As well as keeping her eyes open for any hint or sign of her missing friend or any one who might know more about the nexus or other things of necessity and importance. Another part of her wondered if they might have a snack bar or vending machine that took the money she had on her as her tummy rumbled softly as she neared the large doors.
She wondered if there were a place for missing posters, and looked around for one as she cautiously looked around after poking her head in, looking for a desk of some sort. "Ahem, excuse me, but I was wondering if there was a form or something to apply for a library card? " She half asks a bit rambly and nervous all of a sudden. She wasn't exactly sure why but she was worried for Sherlock and was in need of some information and uncertain about where and when to get things in this ever shifting environment.

FRESH FROM ONE THREAD, RIGHT INTO ANOTHER
The robot actually shakes its fist after the escaping scholar, beeping rapidly and angrily (but quietly; this is a library, after all!) before turning to the task of picking up the spilled books, grumbling as it does.
Guess Micolash wasn't kidding about almost always being in the library. Who knows if the staff is always vexed with him though. Shall she help clean up the mess or chase after the fleeing Yharnamite?

She blinks rapidly, and whips her head round at the loud familiar voice. uh oh. Was her second thought and wince at the crash. She subtley sniffs the air to make sure he's not chaseing after any mouses or other critters or persons etc. Before holding up a finger toward the staff at the desk, "Excuse me a moment. " Before grabbing any fallen books near her. "Micolash? what in thw world are you doing?" She half asks half states slightly confused, concerned and bemused by the antics. Honestly he needed to brush up on his manners.
As she continues to pick up books and near the cart and the bookshelf in the process.

"Is that his name?" chirps the robot, now with the cart upright once more. It starts picking up the books and stacking them carefully on it once more. "All I know is he's the fool who hides in here all the time after-hours. Not as much as he USED to, but." The robot librarian whirs a sigh not unlike a computer's cooling fan.
It then clicks and tilts the little ear-like panels on the top of its head. "Is he a friend of yours? Or family? Can you tell him to stop being such a menace? Squatting aside, his howling is disruptive and he comes in here acting drunk all the time. Bashing into things." The robot gestures demonstratively at the overturned cart and books. An apparent victim of said bashing.
no subject
"Aye,..tis what he told me." She replies her lit that seems and sounds a mix of slightly Irish-Scots/welsh to most ears coloring her tone. As she continues picking up books and glancing at titles. Trying to figure out what the heck he was up to.
"hmm, um well not really I've just ran into him recently. I've been looking for a friend of mine and they share some psychical and..other features and habits. " She explains quickly and as clearly as she can still scanning for him with her senses. "Well, I can certainly try..he did say he was staying with someone.." She trails off and frowns down at the cart.
"hmm well he definitely could stand to eat more..I'am not sure if he has any other conditions I know how to treat. " She replies sincerely he own stomach rumbled in reminder and sympathy. She'd very much like to help with his mental state but his realm and it's ailments was a bit out of her area of expertise. Though there was some similarities. She didn't want to do something to make things worse either. Data, data, can't make bricks without clay. She heard a whisper from her sherlockian room in her mind palace. {yes, yes I know, dear boys.} She thought back fondly and wistful.
Her eyes soften a wee bit, ooh cute robot me likes. Another part of her thought as she caught the movement out of the corner of her eye. Her own ears shift slightly under her hood as they pop up and tilt a bit about mirroring the action.

"I'll take care of this." It shrugs at the cart and scattered books again. "Just-...Just go catch him. If you can, anyway. He's DEVILISHLY fast. Main reason I can never properly reprimand him." The mechanical librarian grumbles, sounding remarkably like a chugging printer or scanner.
no subject
"Aye. I imagine so.." She shifts a wee bit uncomfortable wondering if that extended to people too. "On it." She states quickly and quietly sniffs and tries to go the other end of the row he's on currently, with a quick step but slightly nonchalant trying not to spook him. hummming softly something calmly.

Once she looks in that precise spot, she'll spy a gap in the books where a pair of dark-ringed, pale blue eyes from the other side of the bookshelves are peering. The fact they're framed by iron bars is a dead giveaway as to who's doing the peeping.
"Is the metal man still looking for me?" Hello to you too, Micolash.
no subject
"he don't like food being left about and such, Micolash." She infroms him gently and bends a little to be eye to eye but not too close. She don't wanna spook him or use her wolf speed least she must.

His eyes brighten suddenly though, and there's the sound of rustling cloth as he glances downwards. Fetching something from a pocket? "Oh! But once a man gave me this." He holds up an empty, crumpled Doritos bag. Uh. "I poured out the crisps for some birds but kept this amazing material! Listen to the sound it makes." He proceeds to crinkle it with both hands, eyes narrowing in what must be smile from behind those books. It's the simple things in life, isn't it?

fourthsecond home for Viatorus. Especially these days, when he was scarcely seen outside his office except for his forays to the library. It's as he's setting books down into the returns section that he hears the young woman looking for some help. He glances to the front desk which is, for the moment, empty. He can't allow the poor woman can't be deterred from the joys of reading, so he flattens out his jacket and approaches cautiously. It looks like she isn't the only one with a nervous demeanour."Uh-Um, yes. There is form to fill out. I-It's really very simple. I-Uh… No one is at the desk right now but I'm sure they'll be back soon if you want to start looking around. Or you can look for a librarian." A beat passes and he adds, "Maybe not the robot, if you see him. He's been… hm… distracted lately."
no subject
She glances about for any pamphlets and the like about the library and such. Figuring like in most realms there would be some helpful information about the local area..somewhere within these walls or someone who would know more bout things. She shivered a little books and places that housed them had always be safe havens and comforting to her.
She could easily get lost in such, it was probably half why she has ended up with a small book and misc. Shop herself back in Storybrooke. She half wondered how everyone was doing back there but she had to find Sherlock and some intel and stock supplies first. Before attempting to say find or portal or whatever was close to it round abouts. She wasn't gonna just jump into things. Nope, nope nope.
no subject
"Um, sorry. I, um. I'm not a librarian, but I do know this place rather thoroughly." He gestures to the doorway leading further into the building before his hands come together to fidget. "Could I, uh, maybe help you find what you're looking for?"
no subject
She takes a small step forward and then another making a mental note and trying to burn any signs and such into her memory. "um well..would ya happen to know where..things about the area we're in or the mystery section might be?" She asks warmly. Thinking she can perhaps begin to get her bearings there. Or at least find someone who might have heard of her friend, or one of his counterparts.
no subject
"The mystery section," he repeats. "Fictional novels, you mean? Or real life mysteries?"
no subject
"Err, aye hmm I think both. See I have a friend who in some realms star in the former and slices the latter. And I've been looking for him, prehaps someone or something might be of help. " She explains softly and hopefully.
no subject
Picking a door, he smiles at her briefly and then goes to start walking. He stops suddenly and turns around to offer a hand. "I'm Viatorus, by the way. It's very nice to meet you."
no subject
"oh yes." She chuckles softly and wryly. She replies quickly and offers her hand in return. "Pleased to make yer acquaintance, most folks call me Ashlynn or Ash now a days." It was complicated. But she found it easier to go with her StoryBrooke name first.

She turns towards the other woman's voice and gives her a tentative smile. "There are paper forms, but, um... you need the librarian for that, and I haven't seen him for a while..." She shifts the weight of the books in her arms. "You can apply for one online, though. That's what I did."
no subject
Most usually did have at least a few now a days. Though some needed a card to access them unless they we're for a specific purpose.

Adia is not one to assume, but it sounds like this woman has at least a passing familiarity with the technology. But it doesn't seem like she's familiar with the library itself, and the librarian sure is taking his sweet robot time to get back to the information desk...
"Would you like me to help you get set up?" she offers. "It doesn't take long at all."
no subject
She wished she had her laptop with her but then she hadn't exactly planned this trip. Course it was a semi older model. What with there small town only recently gotten machines and such not from the 1980's for several reasons.
"Um, oh I'd appreciate it. If it ain't much trouble. Thank you. " She replies quickly and with sincere gratitude.

She sets the stack of books -- ones about ship engines, based on the titles -- on the information desk. Whatever she was planning to do with them, it can wait.
Gesturing for the other woman to follow her, she turns the corner, and sure enough, there is a computer terminal available. The screen is a pale blue, easy on the eyes, with a dialog box in the middle requesting a library card number and password. "Have a seat," Adia offers, before pointing to a small link below the box. New user? Click here! it says. "If you click that, it'll take you to a screen that lets you make an account."
no subject
She does so padding alongside a little step behind though and tries to match her strides. "Thank ya." She replies automatically before doing so softly. And looking and watching her movements keenly and with a little eager look and excited wiggle. "Oh, right thank you again. " She murmurs and moves her right hand toward the mouse.
She was a lefty but she'd trained her hand to at least handle a mouse when nessacry. Click click.
no subject
The screen prompts her to type in her name and contact information. There are a lot of options for the latter: Nexus address, off-world address, email, cell phone, or PINpoint number. There is a Terms and Conditions box about the library rules and fines accrued for lost materials, but it's not any more bureaucratic than any other library.
Adia hovers nearby in case she needs any help. Her enthusiasm reminds her of how Adia felt when she first got a library card of her own. It makes her smile, easing some of the tiredness out of her expression. She has already had a long day at the library, from the looks of it. Helping out someone else is a good break from her own research.

She blinks and reads everything carefully. Putting Mrs. Ashlynn Aalish SinClair, her email cell number. Which speaking of which she half subtly scans the area for any plugs near the other computers that could fit her older charger. "Um, what's a pinpoint number?" She asks softly she could of sworn she heard others talking of such.
She'd been meaning to look into those devices some of the others seemed to have. She knew it had something to do with travel and the doors. Trying to recall things.
