Time for a big ol' Nexus Block party
On a sleepy summer morning a wonderful smell begins to waft throughout the Nexus. For those familiar with this place there can only be one explanation but for those new faces to the nexus this may be a strange thing: seeing so many people flocking toward the sweet and savory scents perfuming the Nexus.
There are a few tables set out this morning in the Plaza in front of a small cafe loaded with several carafes of coffee, a myriad of pastries from more than a few different worlds and cultures, and a large pan of eggs and sausage kept warm over a chafing dish. On either end of the table are disposable plates, cups, and cutlery as well as a few welcome pamphlets in a small container. Along the front of the tables is a hand made banner.
Meet and Greet
Manning the tables is Katsuya Suou, red apron on and a cup of coffee in hand. He looks far too cheerful for how early in the morning it is. It's always satisfying to put one of these on and see the throngs of different people stuck in line together to get their food and find a place to sit among the tables and couches nearby.
"Right then, is anyone hungry? I've got more than enough here for everyone so please mingle among yourselves or feel free to ask me anything you'd like."
((OOC: This thread is ALL ABOUT threadjacking and hopping. I encourage folks to tag on each other's comments and mingle rather than to reply only to me. This is a huge opportunity to have your characters interact with people they wouldn't have talked to before. Branch out! Meet new people! Scheme new schemes! Steal the last chocolate croissant!))

She knows that his past was revised, and that the Jeff she knew is not the same person. And she has to take a breath to calm herself (and remove her hand from where one of the concealed weapons was located).
With a forced bright smile, she heads towards him. "Lost?"

"I'm looking for someone, actually. Just way too many people here to find her..." He sighs, not really enjoying this abundance of social interactions. The less people, the better for someone who struggles with anxiety.
He doesn't even notice the weapons she's carrying or just how much of an impact his presence has here.

"Who? Maybe I can help?" Harley smiles again.

Oh good, it's not Adia Costas. That would've earned Jeff a baseball bat to the face.
"My girlfriend. She texted me to meet her here for breakfast."
no subject
"Red hair. That is at least distinctive."
As someone who dated a redhead herself, Harley stands on her tiptoes to survey the crowd to see if can spot the woman in question.
no subject
Looking around, there's not an obvious person in sight that matches her description...Oh wait, there's a woman who's sitting at a table away from most of the crowds.
"Sorry to have troubled you..." He's apologizing for something Harley willingly offered assistance with, what a weird guy.
no subject
"Oh! I found her." Harley gently takes his arm to lead him towards the table.

When the two of them reach the table, the red-haired woman is staring down at her phone, but immediately has a smile on her face when she sees Jeff approaching.
"Hey, glad to see you made it." There's a smile on her face full of compassion and love. No tricks here.
"Yeah...sorry if I'm late." He rubs the back of his head nervously, but manages to face Harley calmly. "Thank you for your help."

Then after a slightly awkward pause.
"I'm Harley!"
no subject
"Oh hey, I remember you! I was picking up a cake at the Crossroads Cafe. Good to see you again."
At least they both seems honest and nice.
no subject
"I am glad I didn't wreck that cake."
no subject
"I'm going to go get some breakfast. Do you want anything?" He's being overly polite, walking over to her seat, leaning down close.
"No. I've got what I really want right now." She gives him a quick kiss on the cheek, causing him to blush immediately, before he reciprocates the gesture. "See you when you get back."
"O-Of course." And he's off to get through the much smaller line.
Harley is free to follow him or stay behind, whatever her preference is.

And she doesn't need to be a third wheel right now. It will just remind her of how unlucky in love she is.
"Well, now you found each other, I hope you have a good time."

They're very similar to Adia and Caspar, maybe different in their romantic ways, but still very much in love. Whatever Adia did to the timeline, it most certainly made things better for most people.
What a weird day to see a serial killer actually reformed into an acceptable member of society.
